You know who isn’t? That’s right, Barb!
After playing Princes, Rage, Curse and now Storm Kings...I have to say that I thought Curse didn’t live up to expectations the most. Possibly this was the DM’s fault, but ultimately, I felt like Strahd was just overdone. I was fairly bored with it. That said, sounds like many others had an opposite experience than…
I tried watching that show.. watched for first 10 episodes be I simply couuld not watch another. All of their characters except for strix were all annoying. Lathander this.. Lathander that.
I’m currently running a Curse of Strahd campaign for my friends. The main goal is to of course defeat Strahd. How and when, is up to the players. That’s where the “open world” comes in.
I’m a player in the fourth session of Strahd. I’ve been playing for about 12 years, have previously DM’d for 3. DM has played for about 20 years. I mention that to say: it’s fun, but we still fumble a bit because there’s a lot there and as far as I can tell, the mechanics are a little fiddly due to the pseudo-sandbox…
If you check Enworld you can find many threads on personal reviews of all the modules. Based on what I’ve seen and read, Strahd is by far the best accepted, with OotA in a similar echelon. SKT seems to take some flak for being *too* sandbox-y; requiring deft maneuvering by the DM to fold in copious amounts of PC drama…
A buddy of mine is a playtester for D&D and our group got to play through the “beta” for Curse of Strahd last year. It was fantastic. It took the original Ravenloft adventure module and added lots of new content, expanding it to an entire campaign. I hesitate to call it a true sandbox, all roads eventually lead to…
I’m running Curse of Strahd now. There are some design decisions that are a little questionable, especially with some of the encounters (which can really drag on), but there is a pretty good backbone there. There’s a lot of detail and you’re left to piece together what’s important, both as a player and as a DM.
So far Curse of Strahd has been my favorite module, it’s a bit RP heavy, but as always your millage will vary based on your group/DM.
But will it last?

Many species of velvet ant start life as parasites attached the eggs of other insects, because if you’re going to be a jerk, 110 percent is the only way.
You beat me to it.
Hulk (the new one) after the death of the old one who was his friend and was killed for no reason.... he’s mourning and angry and THEN Captain Marvel shows up to potentially pick a fight at his house. It gets diffused and they start to leave and then this happens:
Thanks, feel safer from geologic castrophe now.
No such thing!
All in favor of just letting CW handle the entire DC universe itself? They could even make an entire DC Comics channel...
HEART
hahaha, this made my day.
I actually can't even picture how you wipe your ass while sitting. Like, I reach my hand pretty much into the toilet bowl under my balls? What if I took an enormous shit that is peaking above the water? Why would anyone risk that? I wasn't even aware sitting to wipe was a thing people did. What the actual fuck.
