Despite loving to play together you may want to consider tackling the tempered Kirin alone. Especially if you are using using a close range weapon and do not want to learn a ranged weapon just to get past the mission.

I broke through the Kirin wall with the LBG. Just learn her patterns and Slice the horn from afar.
Recently, the only game I got my partner to play with me is “A way out”. No luck with Monster Hunter either. Maybe we should play together instead ;)
I tried to get my partner to play with me but they got past the intro mission and said the monsters where “too scary”. They arent super into difficult games anyway so it was more of wishful thinking on my part. ^^
I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner
That is what I truly wish to be

Everyone would be in love
Oh everyone would be in love
Everyone would be in love with me
no way they’ll announce it this year, but I’m hoping for a majora’s mask-type expansion: something that draws on the same tech, but is maybe a bit more intimate and a lot weirder
Karma? Fuck you, you don’t know the guy. Show some respect for the dead.
People were scammed and I hope they get their money back.
Authorities called it “the swimming pool” because the bodies in this mass grave were buried so close together—more…
I really like that ending ^^
And then Fahey took a picture of his hand for nothing. v.v
I’ve been having a really crappy week. This really got me to smile! Thanks for sharing!
After playing Princes, Rage, Curse and now Storm Kings...I have to say that I thought Curse didn’t live up to expectations the most. Possibly this was the DM’s fault, but ultimately, I felt like Strahd was just overdone. I was fairly bored with it. That said, sounds like many others had an opposite experience than…
I tried watching that show.. watched for first 10 episodes be I simply couuld not watch another. All of their characters except for strix were all annoying. Lathander this.. Lathander that.
I’m currently running a Curse of Strahd campaign for my friends. The main goal is to of course defeat Strahd. How and when, is up to the players. That’s where the “open world” comes in.
I’m a player in the fourth session of Strahd. I’ve been playing for about 12 years, have previously DM’d for 3. DM has played for about 20 years. I mention that to say: it’s fun, but we still fumble a bit because there’s a lot there and as far as I can tell, the mechanics are a little fiddly due to the pseudo-sandbox…
If you check Enworld you can find many threads on personal reviews of all the modules. Based on what I’ve seen and read, Strahd is by far the best accepted, with OotA in a similar echelon. SKT seems to take some flak for being *too* sandbox-y; requiring deft maneuvering by the DM to fold in copious amounts of PC drama…
A buddy of mine is a playtester for D&D and our group got to play through the “beta” for Curse of Strahd last year. It was fantastic. It took the original Ravenloft adventure module and added lots of new content, expanding it to an entire campaign. I hesitate to call it a true sandbox, all roads eventually lead to…
I’m running Curse of Strahd now. There are some design decisions that are a little questionable, especially with some of the encounters (which can really drag on), but there is a pretty good backbone there. There’s a lot of detail and you’re left to piece together what’s important, both as a player and as a DM.
So far Curse of Strahd has been my favorite module, it’s a bit RP heavy, but as always your millage will vary based on your group/DM.
