Future Janeway was pretty badass.

Fair enough, though I’d point out that one of the reasons why a lot of Marylanders have a relationship with that particular piece of history is because it’s taught in high schools.

The National Anthem is utter shit. It’s about us not losing a battle in a war that was essentially meaningless and a tie.

Seeing as America is British Empire 2, that might not work out so well.

Yeah, but that would have ruined the pun.

His politics are all right.

I mean, Corellia is obviously a powerful world in the Star Wars universe. It’s possible that Corellian culture had permeated their society in much the same way that Judeo Christian culture had permeated ours.

I was under the impression that tree stars were a particular type of leaf that were star shaped. And presumably better tasting than other leaves.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. And, honestly, that word choice didn’t even really make sense from my end. Like, I don’t even think it actually means what I meant it to mean.

See, I absolutely agree with your interpretation, but I’ve always considered that more of a liberal trait, because I find that liberals are more likely to argue from that sort of faux intellectualism. Conservatives don’t have to “prove” their pre-conceived notions, because that’s just the way things are and dontchya

Yeah, but you do have to reach a certain level of sleep deprivation in order to actively consider it possible.

Yeah, honestly I think either system would work fine. Theres nothing substantially wrong with either of them, but they’re not perfect either. I strongly endorse not using the plus/minus system in schools, but then again I usually squeak by in the lowest percentage points of each letter grade so maybe I’m a little

But then how do you denote an episode that’s somehow even better than the baseline for an A? I completely agree that this episode would be an A on a global show rating scale, but it also seems weird that it would have the same mark as something of last episode’s caliber.

Bojack has been pulling back from the brink in it’s fourth season, which really surprised me. Dare I say it, the characters are showing a lot of growth, and the plot seems to be turning towards a more positive direction. Which given the tendency of shows to lean into what works for them was something I found really

Yeah, I’ve reached that level of sleep deprivation where I just want to bathe in a shower of puppies. The fact I even think that’s possible let’s you know how sleep deprived I am.

Somehow, it manages to be badass when Kira Nerys does it.

It’s a phrase that popped into my head because I’m sleep deprived and lazy. And in rereading it, it makes absolutely zero sense. So . . . oops.

In fairness, taking quotes out of context is one of the few fallacies with equal opportunity offenders. That said, it tends to lean more right-wing just because they seem to control the biggest slice of the “stupid sh*t said on the internet” pie.

But like, he only looks like Alec Baldwin after he’s put on the fat suit and the splotchy make up. Plus even SFX can’t put the wattle on Balwin.

“We could, obviously, destroy North Korea with our arsenals. But aside from the humanitarian costs of that, they are right next door to our vital ally, Republic of Korea . . . One of the things that we have been doing is spending a lot more time positioning our missile defence systems, so that even as we try to
