It would appear that Obama must continue to play the “Magical Negro” role until white liberals are satisfied with his overall performance.

Yeah that’s kind of how it was described in this run, that it became more of a title than a name. But its still his freaking name. His title is God of Thunder which Jane rightfully took when she got his powers. All-Father is a title Thor took in the distant future when he became king, but he didn’t start calling…
Because it hasn’t gotten any less dumb in four years.
An amazing run. But her taking his name was still a dumb move. It was described fine in the comic, but it is still too absurd of thing for most people to go with. Also it was really jarring not having Thor be Thor after Aaron’s amazing run with him right before Jane took over. Not as many people threw shitfits about Go…
Remember when Netflix was the place you could get tons of movies you actually would watch, instead having nearly the identical catalog of a truck station pile of DVDs next to the puffy hats with filthy sayings?
Kasper has more code names than fans. I’m talking about full on white invasion, Hoss. Your SJW pants would be a puddle of piss.
“Kasper Cole was half-black and half-white and nobody complained about that, so it looks like you have no idea what you are talking about”
As I said in reply to another comment, in the Ultimate universe, PP died and Morales replaced him. When that happened, I stopped reading the Ultimate Spider-man and now back in 616, I still have little interest in Morales, because the first time I encountered him, he was replacing a character I liked.
If they had…
I read Iron Man comics to read about Tony Stark as Iron Man. When I want something different, I read a different comic book.
There’s no other batman tho... why not call miles the spider kid? There’s no other superman. There’s no other Cyclops. Like all that nonsense that they’ve done with the wolverines? Ugh... talk about making something special trivial. There’s fucking 15 wolverines now. Call him the kid spider, cocky hulk, lesser…
Some people, and I’m guessing by these cancellations there’s a few of us, would rather have the character we enjoy have new stories and growth until they reach the point where it’s all been done. Then they can be quietly retired and new characters, new stories could begin.
Replacing a character with another just feels…
I get what you are saying but in the Ultimate Universe, PP died and was replaced with Morales. That annoyed me enough to have me stop reading the Ultimate Spider-Man while reading all the rest of the Ultimate Universe comics.
But... because that is how I encountered Morales, I can’t bring myself to be interested in…
Peter Parker died, Miles Morales took up the mantle. It was in the Ultimate Universe or whatever it was called. So for me, he did replace PP. When the Spider-man I liked, died, I had no interest in reading what his replacement was doing.
No. Because he came in to pick up the mantle when PP died. As far as I was concerned, in that Ultimate universe, Spider-Man had died and I wasn’t interested in reading about a new guy wearing his suit.
I have no problem with reading about other spider-folk, because they were done alongside. If you replace a character…
It’s really stupid to buy a comic for the character Peter Parker. You’re so right.
Honestly why would ANYONE want a new character using the name of an established one? What is wrong with a new character?
You poor poor bastard. I get what you’re trying to say here. Unfortunately, most won’t. Unless you’re 100% compliant with the company line, you’re better off keeping it to yourself because in this world of black and white ideologies, there’s no room for black.
I don’t care that they made a black Spider-Man, much like I didn’t care that they had a pig Spider-Man... what I did care about was the fact they killed off Peter Parker and replaced him with Miles Morales.
Not at all. If you watch a TV series, say Supernatural, and have loved 10 seasons of it. Then someone comes along and replaces Dean with a black woman because... reasons. Are you going to be pissed and want to keep watching or are you going to stop because its not the show you have watched and loved?
Why is that stupid? If you grew up loving and reading Peter Parker as Spiderman, why would you be obligated to read something else?
