You have to have enough money not to care. I know people with a big diesel bus RV. They don’t worry about the costs too much. They like being able to travel for weeks at a time without worrying about pet friendly accommodations, living out of a suitcase, or eating fast food everywhere they go.  If you can afford one,

Mr. Tracy, you are literally ‘event journalism’ personified. I love Torch, I loved Fancy Kristen, I loved all the other alums, but this is the crap people show up to Jalopnik for. You are a goddamned crazy bastard worth reading about. Bravo and God speed

Pretty sure he meant flying.

Learned to drive on Mom’s 74 Dart, before that we had a 68 Dart, and I think we had a 62 as well, but I don’t remember that far back. Great cars, but Dad would unload them (all cars) when they hit 60-70 Kmiles.

a Christian bible camp, where the man who runs the place showed me his wasp-infested Valiant, which he swore had only 51,500 original miles (this, I later learned when going through the service records, was false; the notes clearly show the vehicle eclipsing 100,000 miles).

Lists Charger Hellcat, posts picture of Challenger Hellcat.

I had a ‘66 Dodge D-100 with a slant six and three speed column shifter. If cockroaches will be the only life form surviving a nuclear apocalypse, they will be driving slant six-powered Chrysler products to get around.

Isn’t England the land of future fuel options? Where every fuel station has 10 different kinds of fuel? Petrol, diesel, biodiesel, CNG, LNG, and tea?

Aye Brits. Why don’t you have the army personnel drive some fuel trucks?

It’s in part to many things but Brexit only plays a part.

I for one would like to see more about your traction engines!

The only “good” thing is that as an American, its sort of a relief to see that we aren’t the only country which has copious quantities of stupid people among the ranks.

The GOP here is trying to do the same to this country. And we are far more beholden to gas/cars than England.

I work from home anyway, as a JOKE it was a JOKE , I am not, repeat not going to do this, I offered on a local website to fire up my traction engines.

Who knew that when your country depends on cheap foreign labor, and you close the border, shit hits the fan?

To add to this, the second biggest refinery in the UK is currently defaulting on over £200m of debt, which isn’t ideal given that it supplies a 6th of the fuel.

Anyone else shocked that a profession that has been reported on for years as going extinct can’t find employees?  Couple that with the crappy pay and working conditions, and well....

I’ve noticed Grand Designs are generally better than the rest. The creator of the company used to run Thor, I think, and was tired of the quality issues.

Forgot something.

Jalopnik and every outlet reporting news: The UAW is a corrupt mess
