Semi-related - I saw an IG post on Memorial day weekend of someone driving down the street past a LONG line of Tesla vehicles waiting to charge. Looked like Cali so maybe the last charger for quote some miles. There had to be 50-60 cars all the way down the side of the street. Imagine waiting HOURS for a charge and

...someone at a busy gas station who leaves the car at the pump to go inside and do a little shopping...

Quit whining and move your car, Kevin.

+1 came here for this

4th: there’s nothing more aggravating than someone at a busy gas station who leaves the car at the pump to go inside and do a little shopping (especially at Sheetz where you can order food). But at least it’s typically only a few minutes. Now imagine having to wait 20 minutes to charge the car, and the car ahead of

It’s car-racism...

They’re struggling to sell them at a 40% discount. That doesn’t scream “absolute steal” to me. More like, they’re willing to lose money to get that shit off the lot.

I suppose.  But they don’t carry the same stigma and gut reaction as a Tesla.  Which is very much a statement car.

Uh GM makes EVs too.  Chevy Volt and maybe the Cadillac ELR.

I’ll tell you what it is.

Thrustmaster

Cool, $1M boat with speaker grilles out of a high schooler’s ‘04 civic.

These kind of boats are a guilty pleasure of mine (watching youtube videos of course, I would never buy one even if I had the money). The Mercury racing out boards have a ridiculously short service interval (<100 hours). The main thing that gets damaged are the drive units, the lower section with the 90 degree gear

There is only one gearhead that matters... It’s you.

Basically every new car is a muscle car

Three words, two of ‘em compound:

I had the 90's version of these and you are smoking something if you think they are at all comparable. It was basically a headset that weighed 3x more than the Oculus Rift and had 240p resolution on a single screen.

Man, I didn’t even have a 1080p TV until like 2007, let alone have two small enough for each eye at a reasonable glasses size. You must’ve been really lucky to see something that cool a full decade before!

I’m the opposite. I like ugly cars; form follows function should be standard for race cars.

I am here for the return of the low nose.
