Had a 3rd gen Acura TL that according to the web site, was lucky enough NOT have have one of the Takata bags even though the year before and the year after did. Knowing that I’m never that lucky, I got rid of the car just in case. I didn’t believe it for a second that the car somehow missed getting the Claymore option

My partner’s old Fusion had one of the recalled airbags and he kept putting it off, by the time he finally got it done they were sending him notices in the mail twice a week. Within a month of him changing his official address they started sending notices to the new address. Ford really wasn’t  messing around.

I had this exact car and had the recall done twice. I’ll give Honda credit for absolutely hounding me the 2nd time around, because it had been 3 months since they sent out notification of the 2nd recall. I got snail mail, emails, phone calls. They did their job.

GET YOUR FUCKING RECALLS DONE!

When I found out about that recall I went around to find that I have a lot of extinguishers around my house, garage, and vehicles. I contacted Kidde and then sent replacements for three along with a return label. I also have two extinguishers that are low on pressure of a different brand. After talking to the local

Recently had an incident at my in-law’s house involving a heat gun used to thaw frozen pipes. Turns out their fire extinguisher came with the house circa 1986. Needless to say, it was not functional. Fortunately, it was a fire that could be put out with water. But lesson learned: make sure your fire extinguisher is

Buying shitty cars, sure. Working on shitty cars, okay. But he’s surprisingly good at it. He gets those zombies running, somehow. Gotta give credit where it’s due, cranky.

There was a massive recall on fire extinguishers that were properly charged but the handle would fail to operate. Not sure if this is the brand Tracy had trouble with, but other makers have also had recalls.

They probably wanted their beauty sleep.

It almost sounds like the removal of the tracking device is basically a legalized form of entrapment - we don’t like you, so we put a device on your car, and if you remove it or it stops working, we have probable cause to turn you over.

GPS trackers are active or passive. Active broadcast their location and can be tracked/located. Passive just record GPS info and have to be retrieved in order to see the data.

How dumb do you have to be to send multiple officers to affix a tracking device presumably in broad daylight or under parking lot lights? Do it at 3 in the morning idiots.

Nope, you put it on the local ‘grandma car’ that only goes to Walmart and church, preferably a car that is parked where yours is where you live.

I would consider it a gift. I would also consider mailing it to Abu Dhabi too. Or gluing it to a log and tossing it in the Mississippi.

She's in Louisiana, put it on a cargo ship and see how they try to get it back lol.

...or mail it off to Zimbabwe?

I would’ve slapped it to the bottom of an Amazon delivery truck  or even better yet a semi that was from out of state.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate just how well this image summarizes the entire article?

If it’s affixed to my vehicle, its fair game. It’s not like it was some random object found on the side of the road. Although, that’s exactly where it would end up.

Why do you guys put the annoying “Subscribe to our newsletter!” right before the last paragraph? Depending on the article, it makes it seem like the article is either incomplete or inaccurate.
