I too would love to have an EV. But as been said many times, millions of people have no way to charge them at home. Or at work.

Having it be a separate screw in hook was stupid in the first place.
Everyone should just move to integrated bright red tow hooks, like on off roady trim pickups. You can probably charge more for them too!
The connections thing is def there and interesting. Like when I was on the factory tour our group was actually slightly oversized after a Canadian couple got snuck in last minute (normally huge no-no) when Porsche Canada called in a favor: they were parents of a guy that had bought multiple GT3s.
That is a good question, I would imagine if you have some legit corporate connections they can pull some strings for you, but the transaction will likely have to go through a dealer. That being said corporate may be able to tell you which dealer is likely to accomodate.
Almost $500?? Damn, give me all analogue gauges. What else is adding ridiculous cost to vehicles that is not needed? No wonder vehicle prices are so high.
I actually support this endeavour. Analogue gauges are more often smoother than many digital gauges when it comes to the speedometer and tachometer. I’m kind of tired of just seeing the needle halt and then jerk, or watching the numbers on the readout lag.
The question though was basically if there was ever a point in the 991 GT3 lifespan that a guy who’s never owned a Porsche in his life could walk into a dealer and drive out with a brand new GT3 at sticker price.
Am I the only one excited about the chip shortage now? What special parts used in automatic transmissions can we start a shortage in? How about drive by wire steering? Would it be so bad if a shortage caused all cards to be sweet sweet analog deliciousness?
That’s fine, I prefer analogue gauges anyway. There’s no craftsmanship or satisfaction in a digital cluster. A nice set of analogue gauges can be practically a work of art.
Best believe they’re gonna be first in line for that too. Allocations be damned. Only poor people don’t pay over sticker, if a Porsche GT3 buyer wants it now, he/she wants it right meow!!
... until the GT3 RS comes out.
There were a lot of good options.
Nearly every initial press account of this incident- which was based on the secondhand accounts of family members- was completely contradicted by the bodycam footage. Heres a picture of the dead girl about to plunge a six inch knife into the woman in pink
As an average Kinja-er, I stand by my right to type something incredibly dumb and insensitive without reading anything in the post.
This is probably way too cynical, but... What the hell was the mom doing? It looked like she walked the kid off of the platform and onto the track, and then pretended that there was some invisible barrier preventing her from reaching the kid.
Corruption is the “...abuse of entrusted power for private gain” according to Transparency International.
“Our government built highway system is riddled with corruption and doesn’t work all that well. My solution? A government built train system, surely those have never been riddled with corruption and functionality problems.”
Personally, I have nothing but respect for his god-level IDGAF. This is the best possible type of IDGAF, when you have someone flat-out ignoring onstacles in his path to do his job. There’s no way one excavator was going to get that ship freed in this lifetime. But one excavator was all they had, so like Mike…
His story is a pretty good metaphor for average workers everywhere. Quite literally keeps the business afloat and gets no recognition or even fair remuneration.
