I don't disagree. It's just interesting that two versions of the same story can have such incredibly different tones, yet both be fantastic in their own ways.

Agreed. Also, the climax in the book was surrounded by some truly hilarious shenanigans. I loved this series, but it missed out on the book's humor.
Deadwood is combination western and Shakespeare. Totally worth watching.
Every time they show something that's supposed to be potential foreshadowing to the murder (like Jane and Nathan at the shooting range) it reminds me that there's a murder mystery. Otherwise I completely forget about it.
I think Woodley's character (Jane) was reacting to the looks that Kidman's (Celeste) was giving her. Celeste clearly related to what Jane was saying about feeling out of place, and was giving her some pretty intense looks.
They're not half sisters. The new wife was trying to force bonding between the two families by saying the little girls were sisters, but the dad clarifies that they each share a sister (the older sister).
The reviewer basically read every part of the entire dueling scene completely wrong.
I don't think so. He once said that "Mr. Brah is my father," but I thought it was a joke.
I thought we knew that already. If I recall, the evolution of his nickname, per Josh, was "Father Joseph -> Father Broseph -> Father Bro -> Father Brah."
Lady Dynamite times a million. I feel like everyone who watches Crazy Ex Girlfriend should watch Lady Dynamite.
You should check out Lady Dynamite on Netflix. It's even more explicit in its examination of BPII.
I think so, but it's also a variation of The Villain in My Own Story. Works on both levels.
It's all artisan wood stove pizza that everyone raves about but secretly thinks tastes like cardboard.
Maybe he only got one job offer. It's not a profession that's in high demand.
Amazing and perfect, except for the occasional confusion about how law works (although oddly, it's more accurate than a lot of actual law dramas out there (I'm looking at you, Goliath)).
I’ve had that dream, too, but drowning is one of my most feared ways of dying so I’m not quite as sanguine.
Yes. Regardless of her motives, her policy preferences at least appear to be the least insane of everyone Trump has surrounded himself with.
I kind of assumed that it was really just a trigger that set off all of her very real anxiety about the rest of her life, but maybe I read too much into it.
A friend of mine put it best when her sole reaction was “Shut up, Rory.”
Seriously. I see them gathering lots of food often, and talking about food almost nonstop, but almost never actually eating it.
