I assumed it was volunteer work.
Did they ever follow up on the mean letter than Lorelei and a Emily fought over in therapy? Was that a reference to something from the original show that I don remember?
I've been anticipating tension in Paula and Rebecca's friendship, and I'm really glad the show is moving that forward without dragging it out forever. The pacing on this show really is spectacular.
"except that the wife of a sovereign never has to kneel before her sovereign because they are in certain ways considered equal"
Yes. I just posted a comment above, but the tl;dr version is that we're really seeing more and more that Rebecca and Paula's friendship is pretty lopsided. It's unrealistic to think they'll remain close when Paula doesn't feel comfortable sharing a major life event.
Something that I've been noticing here and there all season is that Paula really seems not to trust Rebecca, and it's hard to imagine that their close friendship will last. In the beginning of the episode, Paula tells her husband that she doesn't want to burden Rebecca because she just broke up with both Josh and…
The veteran was a different guy. Phillip stepped in it twice during the receiving line - first when he joked about the one guy's medals, then when he said "I like your hat" to the guy with the crown.
Also, I think there was a bar or two of "Settle for Me" when they met up on the bridge.
I'm with you 100%. Very glad it's doing well, but didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I wanted and expected to.
I think she'll care, but it will be more about her own self loathing than jealousy.
Also, Mariah killing Cottonmouth was perhaps the only time the show surprised me. It was a terrific scene.
Part of being a good lawyer is being responsible and actually prepared to represent your clients. Matt may or may not have great legal skills, but he is definitely not someone I would want defending me.
I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect the writers and producers to be prepared ahead of time to do interviews for what they know is going to be a controversial and widely discussed episode. They know people are going to want to interview them, so why wouldn't they prepare for it.
Yes to both points.
My immediate thought is that there may be some connection with the same shady government program that gave us Will Simpson in Jessica Jones.
The line was definitely more Firefly than Star Wars, but I still enjoyed it. I like it even more now with the idea that Poe and Ren may actually know each other already.
Off topic, but this happened to me while I was reading Half Blood Prince on a long car ride. The car next to mine honked and when I looked up one of the passengers was holding up a sign saying "Don't trust Snape!"
"Could Trish’s apology be any more forced? If I was a “TrishTalk” listener, I’d be so confused by her sudden change of attitude."
