The radiators are rear mounted in the hatch because these cars take so much damage up front. There may be other reasons but as I understand it the cooling is pretty well protected as far as the mechanicals of the car goes.

The scam of getting people to show up at the dealership I saw backfire once. I was test driving a pontiac and the sales guy needed to get all my information first so I sat at his desk, and a guy stormed in asked for the manager, when the manager came around the corner he gave him a massive uppercut and laid him out.
