I continued to not at all understand the value of lowering a car. Its already low! It will already hit curbs and any number of road debris. What lower it further?

Poor....Subaru Outback? (car he hit)

Just have to say, the Queen's Naboo Cruiser in Episode I, probably the best part of that entire movie. This video reminds me of that. That makes me happy.

Shockingly, these videos don't load properly on Jelopnik. Couldn't have seen THAT coming.

Classic American. No, they couldn't. They aren't popular is most other countries, because they are huge and not that capable. Trucks like these are amazingly capable, especially offroad.

We need more like you. I would buy it (if it drives smoothly/quietly) purely for the hatchback aspect.

Remember when this thing starred on Walker Texas Ranger? Loved it, and I'm not a pickup boy either. Still looks good.

It was a massive improvement, and I agree. The 3rd gen looks loads better than this gen though, especially with the 17 inch rims. I really don't know why enthusiasts hate this car. It is slow, yes, but it is also a smallish (hasn't gone supersized like most other family sedans) hatchback with loads of usable space.

I agree, I still have a real crush on this car, especially in Sport trim.

My aunt has one exactly like that. Still low-mileage. Still nice to drive and solid as can be :)

"If you want a little car because it's the 'in thing', well this one might be your choice, but if you're going the mini route because it's cheap, well, you may want to look around."

The benefit is that there are no names attached, so no harm done. They can probably claim it pretty anonymously.

Are you kidding me?

Well, living in Canada and owning a Subaru, I can tell you exactly why people don't but AWD cars. Simplicity of systems, and fuel efficiency. Plus, there is the need. Not only are AWD cars more expensive to repair, with far more moving parts and some special requirements that add complication and expense to

I'm a guy, I owned a Mazda 3 Sport. The only other person I knew who owned a 3 was a middle-aged accountant.

But they would be able to use smaller engines to accomplish the same thing.

Well, that is actually a fairly average, even high amount if you compare that size of engine to most naturally aspirated versions. Hyundai's 2.4 (Sonata) makes 198HP, Nissan's 2.5 makes 175HP, Toyota's 2.5 169HP etc. I think people are looking at engines with DI and Turbo's and expecting instantaneously huge

Completely agree. This guy is way too hard on the K24. Our Accord 4cyl + stick is a delight to drive, and my dad (who's previous car had a K20 engine) simple adores that engines. Super smooth, sounds great, incredibly reliable and you don't have to rev the hell out of it to get anywhere. The thing I like most about it

Dude, you need to get up on your Volvo lineup news. The S60 and V70 are no longer related. At all. The V70 is based on the S80. The wagon version of the S60 is called the V60, and there is a pretty darn good chance it will be available as an R, since that is Volvo's MO.
