Yeah, that was my go to answer as well, turbocharged minivan. Bonus if it’s AWD. Second place is a wagon of course.

On a side note when Ford was set to call the 6.2 the "hurricane" V8 it was deemed insensitive since the engine was rolled out not long after Katrina. Funny how time dulls memories and feelings.

lol, a Firebird slipped in there. Also a light FWD coupe with about 300 horsepower (and that seems the minimum acceptable given the flack the Toyobaru twins take for less than 300) would make for a serious performance car. The EB Mustang has around 300 horsepower and clocks in at 3500 pounds. Might not seem very

The Cutlass like the T-Bird was a personal luxury sedan. Really even the Mustang and Camaro are compact sedans. A proper coupe would be the Corvette or Supra.

lol, I’m sure CUVs and SUVs are dangerous for more than just women and children. Also the Silvia was around 1285mm in height and the R32 was around 1341mm. Both a lot less than 1397mm you list although the current GT-R is 1369mm. Even the current Mustang is a tad less at 1394mm. Speaking of a lot of people find the

Well said, that is a post worthy if the Autoextremist himself!

I thought the ICE Chargers and Challengers die with the V8 and will be replaced by the Banshee. The lone sporty ICE offering is the Hornet IIRC.

more like "we'll finance your 400 credit rating but there is a price to pay... muhahahahahaha".

Indeed, you either drive to the airport and pay for parking or get a ride there then put up with the safety theater risk a delayed flight then as you mention having to score a rental (which could entail another line) which further adds to the cost and then face the same safety theater, possibly delayed flight and

There is one of these for sale in my AO and every time I pass by I keep thinking about the albeit pricey 7.3 Godzilla/10--speed autotragic combo Ford Racing Performance Parts sells (IIRC it comes with the controls pack and alternator). It would make for a properly swapped big Merc.

Meh... just feels 2-3k too high but I'm not really a used car guy. Then again I'm always amazed at how much the S-197s go for when I look for a suitable 7.3 godzilla recipient in the 4.6 3v cars. Always shocked to see a 2010-2011 car pulling almost 20k used.

I like the S-197s but one really nice thing about the S550 ( better front and rear suspension aside) is the stiffer master cylinder mounting . One thing that bugged me on the S-197 was the mushy pedal even with braided lines. The firewall isn't a structural piece on the S-197 so the master cylinder needs a brace to

The CF wheels are standard of the GT350R. If you get an R without the CF wheels it's either a fake or somebody tore the wheels up or replaced them at some point for something silly like a set of 20's because they wanted to "personalize" the car or for whatever reason.

Probably the two biggest are size and ROI on money spent on mods. To a lesser extent is perceived complexity compared to the LS. That all leads to the aftermarket going full blast on the LS and the reason why it’s such a popular swap. Then you have the LS Swap the World chorus drowning out any other voice.

Definitely looks tacked on but it’s needed aero. Too bad Honda doesn’t offer something like Porsche does with the Touring model GT3. They trade a little performance for a more understated appearance. I suppose the real problem is budget and take-rate and to a lesser extent getting hammered in a review when some dolt

lol, welcome to the club! I’ve got the worst eye for composition on the planet. It always looks so good in my mind’s eye but what gets captured makes finger paint monkey art look brilliant by comparison. Got a buddy that can just seem to walk up and snap perfect pics without a second thought and I’m sitting there like

I’m gonna go with this right here. The funny thing is I love everything about the car but the color. I actually ordered a Ford Performance Blue car but something happened with the order - my sales guy said it got dumped somehow (the conspiracist in me thinks they sold it to somebody who really wanted an FPB car) but I

Pretty cool, pretty crazy though she was working the go-go circuit at 14 although the operators certainly fall into the sleazeball category. Girl I lived with had a dad in the restaurant supply business, so he dealt with a lot of those places, and she told me even before she turned 18 she was getting offers to work at

I agree more or less but you still have some die hards in there. I love to drive but I won’t complain if I can get an autonomous EV RV that can tow a trailer from track to track. Hell I’d give up home ownership and just do a big circuit following the fair weather with that.

lol, in a country with comparatively loose product laws. It took years to label something like Cheez Whiz as setting other than cheese and it still gets to be called processed cheese foodstuff.
