That will be the end game with autonomous driving but it’s going to take awhile, most likely when they pry some cold dead gen-z’s hands off of their steering wheel. In between you have to ween a generation off of driving.

I’ll think this tip is best for the bargain hunting crowd willing to compromise for the best deal possible. What really helps out is going in with a proper deposit/down payment and willing to order exactly what a person wants. Great if the dealer has it on the lot but if somebody is going to commit to a 48 month or…
Anything from the Ron Zarella era at GM. That guy pretty much embraced the “all the same sugar coated corn puff with a splash of dye and a different wrapper and it will sell” mentality. He was big on brand management but the execution was horrible as GM pumped out plenty of junk that looked different but was…
One of these right here, the GT350 is no longer the best handling naturally aspirated manual trans equipped Mustang in Ford’s portfolio with the introduction of the Mach 1 w/handling pack but the combination of a wonky flat-plane crank (even for a flat-plane crank) equipped engine makes it one of the most fun Mustangs…
lol, given how light the change appears to be S560 is probably more appropriate at least until Ford puts out more information on how extensive the changes are.
You almost can’t blame them. Remember when the Coyote rolled out and hac... I mean everybody’s trusted tuners were causing the #8 cylinder to go tits-up. Ford had a rush on warranties and the peanut gallery was all over social media yammering about how Ford was putting out “defective” engines.
Future electrical and…
GT350 owners will probably be absolutely giddy about this - also a subset of auto enthusiast that likes to brag about how good their oil consumption is!
Meh... low-tension, low-profile rings will do that and since ring drag is the biggest power and economy robbing problem in an engine other than pumping losses so it’s low hanging fruit. GM may have also skimped on the surface prep for the cylinder wall and/or also had to account for how people went about breaking the…
Muscle bros love to bring that up when they want to show disdain for vehicle. I don’t ever remember a car from 60's or 70's specifically marketed as a “secretaries’ car” except for a blurb Carroll Shelby made about the regular Mustang. Own a Mustang though and you’ll hear that in between about the third joke about…
I always thought they were cool, not my cup of tea but I'm going with nice price since this is probably as desirable as say a Fox Mustang in the right circles and a decent Fox is worth that ( and more it seems these days ).
Clearly they made the right choice since the Challenger and Charger have maintained decent volume and Challenger has outsold Mustang at times. The domesticc sporty/sports coupe market is just too small to support more than one or two competitors just like the affordable domestic sports car market can’t support really…
No dice, its a hacked-up Beetle that only appeals to that one person looking for a hacked-up Beetle mini truck.
Naw, the Fox body Mustangs were well loved as were the C4 vette and F-body cars and while this might seem like a cohort dig it appears the 80's hate is mostly early-mid boomer and millenial/gen-z which of course represents a pretty loud crowd.
I also don’t think Ford wants to stomp on Mustang sales. Part of the Camaro’s problem is that it had the Corvette big brother. When both cars were front engine and rear wheel drove plus a bit closer in pricing they cannibalized sales.
The lead pic in the story sums it up for Mustang. I suppose most people will go right for the II but the SN95 was probably the all time low point for the car.
This guy must have had a chat with my grandad who was fond of the axiom “the only way to get ahead in this world is to make two dishonest dollars for every honest dollar you make”. Clearly Mize was looking to improve on that by just going straight to making two dishonest dollars.
Pretty cool send-off for the GT. A lot of people give the car flak but it’s a hand-built car using a lot of bespoke parts and a production of less than 2000 cars IIRC and a snapshot of racing technology from six years ago.
Well on the off chance we actually ever had one I’d dig rolling in with a 288 GTO.
The good thing is the really bad bits are easily fixed and fixed cheaply. There are even kits out there to adapt the cheap as hell Cadi CTS-V Brembo brakes to the car. That said I’d personally step up to the S-197 for road course duty since they offer a better overall platform, but the SN95/New Edge cars aren’t a bad…
I have med-pay on my auto policy and since retirement doesn’t qualify as a “life changing” event I’m paying full price for medical insurance right now, so the bill works out to about 725.00 USD/month (disregarding the regular auto policy coverage) and over the course of a year with copays and such more than 15% of my…
