Man I was hoping Toyota was introducing something really special here like a GT3 RS/ GT500/ZL1-1LE curb stomper.

Let’s see....
Well if your pretty sure they are unarmed morons. That’s the problem in the US. It’s a crap shoot ( no pun intended ) on whether physical violence will result in some sort of escalation.
I carry a few heavy blankets in my car and car cover for just such emergencies. The blankets will absorb the impact of the typical stuff in my AO ( not the Texas level stuff I see demolishing homes obviously ) when it comes to hail and the car cover acts as ballast holding them in place.
This has been the “unofficial” target for awhile. I’m sure the EU has consulted with auto manufacturers extensively before setting a hard target.
Well the commonly agreed upon attribute of a muscle car
Clock is ticking boys, I suspect ( yeah suspect, not know flametards ) the Mach-E in modified form will be the basis for the next gen couoe which Ford has said will be EV or at least will be an EV variant if gas cars still sell in numbers enough to support them.
The 5.0 sounds like the owner got a well abused turd. It made peak power around 5,000 rpm and didn’t have a problem banging into the rev limiter at 6250 IIRC but wouldn’t rev past 3k and the cats rattled sounds like somebody had a problem with nitrous set to “win” and promptly traded the car in if it was just a few…
lol, even the gas Chevette was slow. My brother had one coupled to an auto and it taught one the importance and skill set that is called “strategic lane merging”. Definitely a car where you had to use momentum to it’s fullest advantage!
Welcome to the world of inexpensive low revving pushrod engines that would last forever. There is a reason GM earned “ GM engines run bad longer than most engines run”. Besides as any LS/LT wingnut will tell you the engines outside of displacement weren’t particularly massive in physical dimension.
People can dither…
The 5.0 HO Windsor V8 was a candidate for this list?
I suppose relative to the owners experience it was the worst but it sounds like he got a well abused example if it was only able to rev to 3000 rpm, the oil sending unit would break and the cats rattled.
This is the same engine with over 100k on the clock and people…
If the passengers were willing participants then karma for them as well. They could have certainly stroked the driver’s ego. I’ve met more than a few people that were speed junkies and perfectly fine riding shotgun and ending up a pile of flaming greasy goo if things went sideways.
The onus was certainly on the driver…
Speed limiters are easy to defeat and there are plenty of performance cars that pull double duty as track cars. Limiting a vehicle to 85 mph is practically a pointless endeavor.
The feds mandated an 80 mph speedo through the 80's ( Ford for instance in the SVO Mustang found a work around so the speedo would indicate…
Indeed, the driver ran out of talent before the car ran out of power.
Looking up and down the road is a learned behavior, people will naturally start looking down the windshield and to the bumper as the speed increases which of course only adds to the danger in a situation like the vette was involved in.
I’m honestly trying to remember if that was something covered when I was in…
Naw, the real game is to see how pissed off they can get other players. This is one of the reasons a brother of mine swore off FPS games since he would super rage quit when cheaters burned him.
I remember somebody breaking in to a private match we had set up in Red Faction with a mod that allowed the rail gun to…
To be considered criminally negligent a person sorta has to kill somebody and even then drugs or alcohol usually has to be involved.
Maybe if this had happened in good ol’ Virginia they might have put him in jail for a reckless charge and a few weekends in the klink with some stiff fines but VA tends to be an outlier…
All of these dino burners will pale in comparison to the EV performance cars coming out in a decades.
In my area they occasionally do if its an egregious violation. I saw a mini-truck pulling a car trailer stacked with a bunch of car trailers to the point the tires were extremely over loaded. Cops pulled the driver and called the actual city enforcement division for that stuff and scaled the truck and trailers which I …
A driving test ( written and on the road ) is there to determine if the operator is minimally competent enough to drive. I’m not sure of the standard but hell at work I’m required to have a minimum competency of 90% on every test I take from the actual job related stuff to the random “just in case you happen to be in…
