Ford and Tremec worked with the tuning on the DCT in the GT500. If you look up Billy Johnson Racing on twitter and facebook as well as an interview with Lethal Performance on YouTube Johnson talks about how he and Ford worked with Tremec to setup the DCT for the GT500.

The DCT is how the GT500 works, its torque management. The transmission is tightly integrated with the stability and traction control systems. If this car were as analog as the GT350 (which isn’t that “analog” to begin with) it would be a hot mess and probably not really any faster than the GT350 out on track.

From my understanding the Carbon Package option is fairly limited. Most of the cars will be the regular GT500 which again should sell well given its modest production.

Lingenfelter has a 600 horsepower package for the LT1 (which is what the LT2 is based on) and it involves way bigger valves, CNC porting and a more aggressive camshaft requiring

An LT1 picking up 60 or 100 horsepower with a set of headers and CAI on a conservative pump gas tune???? That’s essentially what the LT2 is albeit with a little bit of cam lift and timing changes (or at least some cam timing changes).

GM dialed in a shitload of understeer so C8 driver’s wouldn’t be the new C&C crash compilation kings. Juechter said as much when they introduced the car so that Corvette fans could switch as seamlessly as possible (or something along those lines).
