yep, same here, we’ve been living under the “vigipirate” plan since 1995 (terror attack in the subway in Paris). it had 5 color coded level. it NEVER got under “code red” (level 4) until 2014 when they added another system with two steps (the code red was then the new level 0), then another third step in 2016 (“called

But he was opening the bag when the kid showed up. It sure felt like he was about to do it. Coupled with tossing the jacket and taking his dog next door, I’m not sure the other option works, story-wise.

That’s a very good point but it’s harder not the think that there’s a method to Whiterose’s madness because of how composed and in control that she always comes off. Out of pretty much all of the character’s on the show she’s been the one who’s come off as the most well adjusted, which is what makes her outright

Oh come on - just don’t visit the AVClub until you’ve seen the episode!

I was a little skeptical of the kid at first, because for a second I didn’t know if he was a figment of Elliot’s mind or not.

I’ll get attacked again for saying this, it since I think my original point was sound, I’ll say it again: let’s be a bit more sensitive in view of the reasons that Snyder left (and was not ‘ousted’ off) Justice League.

Kubrick Watch: Irving’s off to clean up the exact same crime as the inciting incident of Eyes Wide Shut.

Alex liked the escalating glitching, but I thought it was kindof one-note and was getting bored. But then wow, that ending.

As Dustin says when he shows Dart to an adult he wants to be acknowledged for his discovery. I think he feels like he is taking a back seat to Will and Mike, he is the inventive one but they are starting to treat him like he is just the help desk. A nerd’s nerd. If there is ever a version of Stranger Things set 35

His like a geneticly enchanced 80s bully.

I know that kids don’t always demonstrate the best judgment, but I just didn’t buy that 1) Dustin wouldn’t immediately think that an unidentifiable creature is connected to Hawkins Lab 2) he would still protect the creature AFTER being told that Will linked it to the Upside Down. He might be curious but he isn’t

I’ve been referring to him as “Peachfuzz McMullet”.

A shame he didn’t run into Dexter or Walter White or Justin Vernon up there.

Re: The Shining.

Irving is the most hilarious yet somewhat disturbing and frightening character. Love him.

Since last season’s final ep, I feel it is wise to filter all of Darlene’s statements and actions with the awareness that she might be/is probably wearing a wire.

The moment when he conjured him up in the therapy session and they blended his and Christan’s voices together had me SHOOK

The Coney Island stuff tonight reminded me that we’ve never gotten an explanation for what caused Elliot to forget Darlene in the first place. And how we got from him and Darlene reminiscing over The Careful Massacre of the Bourgeoisie, to where he is in the pilot.

Rami as Mr. Robot was pretty chilling. I just wanted Darlene to run as fast as possible.

From what I’ve heard so far this is her clearest move toward the mainstream. I’m a casual fan so I have not followed everything she’s done but from what I can tell this is all about the hooks and there’s nothing wrong with that. Very punchy and commercial sounding and the artsy weird bits are toward the latter half of
