Wish fulfillment is fans thinking they should be able to write the show themselves. Clearly, you've just done that.

Nobody on The 100 has had a happy ending. So in that respect, everything is in proportion.

News flash: people die on The 100 all the time. You can't seriously expect certain characters to be exempt from that possibility simply because of what has happened to LGBT characters on other shows. Alexa's death was far from pointless. It resulted in a huge reveal and moved the second AI story line forward. And

There are still LGBT characters (plural) on the show. Including the actual lead.

Alycia Debnam-Carey never had a series regular contract, her contract was always for recurring status. Recurring cast members are never the lead, regardless of how much you and your friends like her character.
