@Maymar: retroactive abortion for the parents, yes?

@pauljones: When I was a kid, 150 would be reasonable. But now - a 2001 accord (the 4-cylinder) has 150hp, or at least it did at the factory. Pretty soon you won't be able to buy a car less than 10 years old with less than 150 horsepower.

@gla2yyz: I wonder if the guys over at Flyin' Miata are already sitting around a table, drawing up a new kit so I can do it at home with no fabrication.

@Jim-Bob wants a Yaris: The hamsters seem to hate me today, but I was attempting to post a link to realoldspower.com - Really, I think any forum that spends too much time with G-bodies ends up a little frightening.

It does not embarrass me in the least to admit: my man-parts were in full retreat for large portions of that video.

I don't think I could ever touch one of these. I lusted after them for the first 12 years of my life, and then one drove into my hometown. He made it about halfway through before drifting into oncoming traffic and dissolving into the grille of a semi.

Seeing as how I live 10 minutes from Skyline Drive (Shenandoah National Park), there's really no other choice. Just watch out for deer!

Wife made me sell the '87 cutlass to get something with an airbag.

@YankBoffin: Solid credit history. Like he said, he's been underwater before. Getting credit is not about how much money you have, but how much money they think they can make off you.

@mytdawg: As the owner of one, I agree with your sentiments. It's a disease.

@s_teve: I had heard that all the fun (and dangerous) driving was pretty much at an end there, due to low speed limits and a TON of police presence. Maybe it was just temporary.

@maximum_sarge: I have a camera mount in my miata, I built it into where the visors used to be. It's great for when I know I'm going to be driving good roads. I also do timelapse videos of roadtrips with it.

@VIn: I was incredibly impressed with the Mazda driver's behavior. I consider myself fairly "above" childishness, but I'd be lying if I claimed I wouldn't lay about 20 feet of rubber in front of that BMW as I drove off.

@Shift5G: That's all well and good, but this is different.

$4900 for a car that needs a drivetrain transplant (auto on a corvette is as wrong as stickshift in a cadillac) is crackpipe.

I was iffy until I saw the volvo filter cover. I want 2, one in racing green to complete the hilarity.

Sorry, but the tracker is one of my favorite cars of all time. It wasn't any worse than the other versions, and it came in (or was enthusiastically given) AMAZING color combos.

@Barcode711: Maybe the one I drove was just a lemon. It had about 90k miles on it, but should have been junked long before it got mercifully t-boned.

@iamjames: What are you saying here? You're comparing a 15-year-old V6 mustang to a 2011 Fiesta. The new V6 mustang is better in every way - 31mpg highway instead of 26, and power drooling out of every panel gap. How is this progress in the wrong direction?
