Dodge neon. What a gutless, soulless, numb, wallowy, rattly, whining POS. What pushed me over the edge was the stereo, actually. If you turned the knob 3 clicks to the right, and 3 clicks to the left, the volume would have gone up from the start of the exercise.

@MaWeiTao: I've seen that on so many mustangs where I grew up, I sorta thought that was a factory option.

@Ben Wojdyla: There are certain 6-cylinders that have a fantastic sound, but I can see where grzydj is coming from on this. Acoustically, 6-cylinders produce a noisier (in the technical sense of noise) sound than a v-8. The 8-cylinder engine is the closest configuration to the western system of music. 16 cylinders

@Roberto G.: Yeah, the guy definitely deserved to be left to die in the road because he made a few poor decisions.

@MisterMiata: I'm a fanboy of soft-tops, but I think it's pretty cool they managed to get the PRHT to not destroy the trunk. You need every cubic inch of that thing!

@allinthefamily: It's got the same stickshift as the SI someone posted up above, if you can find one in manual.

Is it possible the jag won't jump start unless it's in neutral? Since that's what changed between it Not Working and it Working, I'd at least have that on my suspect list.

@Carl Spanoghe: True enough - it's about 6k less than the base 2010 Miata. Not the choice I would make, but that is a point in its favor.

@rickerbr: I guess it has been a while. I was just thinking, "No, guys, the Suburban was a great vehicle just..."

What's wrong with the Toyota Tacoma for small trucks? The base model is slightly lower msrp than the Ranger, you can get it no-frills and with a manual. My parents have one, and other than the occasional serious accident, it's been a decent little truck.

@Tenacious_ADG: it's those summer tires. Burnouts are best done in something you hate (cargo van you're about to sell) on skins you don't care about (the ones you found in the field next to the cargo van). Burnouts are easier on crap rubber anyway.

@$kaycog: She only drives it on Sundays, but her church is 384 miles away.

@patman: "longitudinally mounted engines and transmissions/transaxles are one million-bajillion times easier to service than transverse mounted."

@Fodder650: For the ultimate combo, you could lose the 20 pounds on a steady exercise regimen of push starts.

@cobrajoe: I suggest you join this man in supporting his favorite NASCAR drivers.

I love these vans more than just about any van out there. I'd gladly pay $1500 for a beater version, I'd gladly pay $10000 for a perfect example.
