“To deal with ICE on any level is like reliving the Gestapo in WWII Germany.”
“To deal with ICE on any level is like reliving the Gestapo in WWII Germany.”
No, that’s not hyperbole AT ALL
Oh, wait...
Yes, I know of late everybody on the left is supposed to be pro unlimited open ended mass immigration, regardless of it’s downward effect on wages, and anybody in any way involved in immigration enforcement is GESTAPO!!!!!! HITLER!!!!! NAZI!!!!! KLANSMAN!!!!
Unfortunately,…
Whatever they dig up will survive pardons
At the time, there was no Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status, and there wouldn’t be for another six years.
>This is a stupidly common occurrence. In 2017, over a quarter of all of ICE’s arrests were of people who either had no criminal record or who hadn’t been convicted of any crime. Last year, HuffPost found that two-thirds of everyone arrested by ICE between October 2017 and March 2018 had no criminal convictions at…
So....you’re saying ICE is “useless” for doing it’s actual job, and attempting to deport an undocumented immigrant felon?
Seriously?
Eh, nitpicking over civil violation vs. criminal. It may not be a crime but it is still breaking the law, which is what most people mean really when they say “a crime”.
Go ahead and find these millions of white people staying in the US illegally.
Oh that’s right they don’t exist in any large numbers. And the ones that do get deported just like our Millionaire Friend in this article.
What sort of recourse would the government expect someone like Savage, who came here as an actual child, to have?
dropped out of school, joined a Bloods-affiliated gang and began a life of weed dealing and crime.
what other civil penalties carry deportation as punishment?
When they come here illegally they don’t pay taxes as the government doesn’t know they are here but they use money printed by the government in turn hurting the economy and education, roads, etc. They need to come here legally to be a benefit to economy. So wheres the idiocy of the arguments? They have valid reasons…
The argument is pointless without considering what ICE is and what it does.
“Setting aside the “false” “public persona”—which, if true, isn’t a crime....”
Here’s the problem, speaking as someone who came from the same country, legally, and who remains here, legally, still a foreigner after 20 years.
You do understand the example the writer gave is of a violent, drug dealing criminal with multiple arrest records starting at age 16, right? Illegally entering the country is just the cherry on top of this shit sundae.
You picked one hell of a hill to die on.
Your thoughts on the Pats will not increase your chances of scoring with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
It’s weird. The way the Rams played, it’s like they didn’t deserve to be there. Like, they didn’t earn one of their wins or something. Huh.
