When I was in college, we would do “bowling for poses” where you had to do a wrestling pose or move if you got a strike or a spare. One of the guys would just walk back all serious, then claim he was impersonating Chris Benoit.

To be fair, it was his cousin Flavor Aid that was responsible. It was the one time when better brand recognition was a major negative.
Could we please institute some kind of “digital intelligence test” for lawmakers before they’re allowed to create legislation over the internet? It’s pretty clear 3/4 of them have no idea what they’re writing or voting on, and it just ends up creating major problems for everyone after the fact.
“We apologize for not allowing crossplay. Unfortunately, our gamers are too busy playing our vast library of first party titles instead of the same shit that’s on every other system.”
Will they still offer a giant barrel of lube? I bought one during the first Prime Day and it finally ran out.

You should have titled this article “Let’s Remember When Microsoft Actually Had More Than Three Really Good 1st Party Titles”.
Alan Wake is a good one. That’s one of the few games where I got genuinely jumpy after awhile.
Does that mean Landon Donovan will get fined for supporting the Mexican National Team?
That song has had a mini-Renaissance the last couple of years. It was a running theme in Logan Lucky, and was pivotal in one of the better scenes in Kingsmen 2.
Super busy weekend coming, but I’m trying to slip in more God of War. I just had a pleasant chat with the World Serpent and am now kind of exploring the unlocked areas before progressing forward.
Rise was probably one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve ever played. I was never into the original series, but everything about this one was so incredibly well done from the story to the puzzles to the actual gameplay that I was a little sad when it was over. Sounds like this one will be even better.
The flipside to this is to be careful about products with a ton of positive reviews, especially ones that sound generic. I’ve learned the hard way that a lot of companies (especially ones based overseas that sell through Amazon) will pay people to post 5-star reviews and drive their rating up which, in turn, moves…
You could probably use the “(Game publisher) is changing the way that (game aspect) will work for (game/franchise title), and fans are not thrilled” as an opening line template for about 3/4 of the news items that come out of E3.
It’s a solid #1 for me. I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of seven months combined (including DLC) in that game (I don’t have a ton of gaming time) and loved just about every second.
Absolutely, especially with the “Blood & Wine” DLC, which provides just a phenomenal final chapter to the Witcher saga (“Hearts of Stone” is also really good, but not as memorable). I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 hours on this game and would literally go a month just traveling the countryside doing side…
Given that this is likely to employ more firearms than melee weapons, it kind of makes sense to go first person, but I can’t help but feel that we’ll end up missing something in the world around them, as well as the emotion that Witcher so successfully brought out in Geralt.
Yep. Did Robben embellish? Absolutely, but Marquez stuck his foot out and caught a piece of Robben’s leg.
Bloodborne is my “play it for awhile, get frustrated and come back game”. I started it and stopped at Vicar Amelia, then came back about six months later, made a ton of progress and stopped again at Rom. I just beat Far Cry 5 and just started God of War, so I’m sure I’ll be back on this one in the next month or so.
The patches aren’t a huge issue for me (except for the times when it makes me restart the game/console and I can’t quickstart from where I was). However, the amount of time to load the game onto the PS4 is getting ridiculous. God of War was about 20 minutes over the weekend, which has been one of the shorter ones. I…
This was one of the few games that I’ve ever played through multiple times which, given how many games I had at the time it came out, says something. I appreciated not only the narrative and the twists, but also the fact that, unlike some other JRPGs (Secret of Mana sticking out the most in my head), you didn’t have…
