Maybe they’re trying to bring in Bobby Petrino, like the Auburn thing back after the 2003 season (no, not really). That’s the last time I can recall such a clusterfuck with an incumbent head coach.

At this point, Bomani is one of the only people on any ESPN platform I *can* stand.

Also Major/Deputy Ops Rawls in The Wire.

He wasn’t a starter.

Considering Jerry said he “welcomes” the sideline tiff, I am certain he is swelling with pride.

I thought there was some solid sign game this week. I definitely don’t think it’s the worst of the season; Utah was the low point, IMO.

Is being an adult and moving on something that baseball players are incapable of doing?

Strong take. Did you spot it, or did it lift solo?

It’s possible they didn’t have full access to the NBC stuff, which would result in the large amount of stills used. That said, stills could have been the plan anyway in order to fit in as much stuff as possible, so that is a possibility also.

It’s also SOP for ESPN.

This comment was done the right way.

I love that the TBS and TNT (or maybe TruTV, whatever) crews were on completely opposite sides from each other on the call. One crew (Seth Davis, et al.) thought it was an atrocious call, and the other crew (Barkley, et al.) thought it was a good call.

Alien 3 is bad, but I will forever be an apologist for it where David Fincher is concerned. He walked into a disaster area where they were rewriting the script as they filmed; he (or anyone else who would have directed that film) never had a chance.

This requires all of the +1s. ALL.

You're on the team's roster? Sweet! Aren't you too busy to be commenting on a Deadspin piece?

When he was in college, people who followed the Valley often called the school Kreighton.

Per the book referenced in the article, ESPN has obituaries ready for major sports figures as well.

Both teams played hard.
