@Froggy: good question. Here's the privacy FAQ that points to their (reasonable to me at least) privacy policy.
I heartily agree with the excellent comments above. May I add that a dSLR will not make you a better photographer.
Love the literature map idea! Good idea for a topic WB.
seems to have disappeared... bummer!
Now that IS good news. About time too!
As I understand it, FF caches about six pages worth of history for each tab... the more tabs you have, the more memory this requires. If you're saving tab history with TabMix Plus, it's probably even worse!
Ah, that is nice. You can also make a keyword for a Firefox bookmark with the -site operators in there.
Very cool, Gina. Nice post!
This is very cool, but I'm disappointed that it still doesn't work with Google Apps for Your Domain accounts! I'm looking forward to using it regularly when it's integrated.
@adam: love the lauching apps tip. gotta go work on my ahk script now, thanks.
@Bubuli: As I understand it, Hamachi (the service) mediates ( as you say) to connect two machines with the alternate addressing IP network (privileged and private using passwords and tokens?). The software then negotiates (secret sauce?) any firewalls to create an encrypted p2p tunnel.
What, the SingleClick UltraVNC Geek to Live comments didn't pique your interest? ;)
This is brilliant! Thanks for the heads up.
Darn, wish I could edit... meant to explore the nuance that CHM is Windows related, but it's too late now.
Should this be tagged "windows"? The MS OS may be mentioned in passing, but this is really a "Mac only" post.
@Scott: I've seen a howto in the Hamachi forums—you might try there first. Gina's step-by-step (above) is also very good, just use the Hamachi address of the machine that will provide the support when setting up SingleClick UVNC.
Here's a twist... use SingleClick in combination with Hamachi. This avoids any dynamic IP addresses, since Hamachi assigns its own (just be sure to use your Hamachi IP when you build the SC UVNC app).
GigaSize doesn't work for me (Firefox 1.5x)... three tries and the transfer died each time, the last one after it hit 100%. YMMV!
Another variant is the "[nt]" appended to the end of a subject line for "no text". This is often used in subjects in the Digital Photography Review forums so that viewing threaded messages can be done more quickly.
