The first person to tell me this December that the Montreal Massacre wasn’t an act of misogyny gets a fist to the side of the head or, if the angle is better, the throat.

One of the women he murdered carried aa personal alarm specifically for domestic violence victims that when triggered directly alerted the police to her whereabouts and distress. That speaks fucking volumes. Her son has since come forward to say on the day she was murdered, she saw this guy walking up to her house and

My huge and reasonable issue is that domestic violence is treated as less of a crime than the same behavior directed toward a stranger or non-household/non-family member. It should be the same.

It’s like killing a cow, eating the tail and throwing the rest in a landfill off a cliff while it’s alive.

Yes. The fins are also harvested in an incredibly inhumane manner: they are sliced off of living sharks and the rest of the animal is just dropped back into the water. Without the ability to swim, thus moving water through its gills and effectively breathing, the shark drifts to the bottom, drowning in the process.

Aaron Paul is correct. The massacre of sharks for their fins is cruel and repellent behavior.

Either that, or they go the route they took with the 25th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre. “We have no idea why this man, who left a note specifically saying he was going on a rampage because he hated feminists and thought any woman in an engineering program must be a feminist, would do such a thing. Gosh! It’s a

What amazes me is how many people still complain that all a woman has to do is accuse a man of ANYTHING and he’s “locked up for life.” The reality is so far in the other direction.

It’s just that doing drugs is a way worse crime than attacking women.

I feel guilty that my first response to this was "that's not how you spell Ottawa"... but seriously. It's not how you spell Ottawa.

We could easily solve the mass incarceration problem by not incarcerating *non* violent offenders. Stop jailing people for being addicted to drugs, failing to pay court fines, being homeless etc. so when guys like this show up, we can lock him up and throw away the key.

It looks like he committed the assault in December of 2013 and stole the car/possessed the crossbow after being released from jail in September of 2014. So, he almost killed a woman after showing increasingly erratic and violent behavior and serves *less* than a year. Then, after being realized and refusing to sign a

I never question mine and I can’t figure out if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I never find myself going “Yup, put them on trial and then murder them.” even for the most horrific of people. If you don’t allow it, you don’t allow it.

Amazing just how much leway a man like this gets. A long history of violence and still he’s afforded every chance to continously attack women. There is no punishment strong enough to fit this crime, and my heart goes out to all of the victims and their loved ones.

Choking shouldn’t be the label for the crime. Let’s call it what it is. It’s attempted murder, plain and fucking simple.

LIFE GOAL

I’m totally screenprinting this entire page so I can send it to Bonne Bell if they ever stop making Dr Pepper Lipsmackers. “Look at the love! LOOK AT IT.”

YES! We are kindred spirits. It’s the only “makeup” I wear and I will be absolutely bereft if it ever disappears. After the scare last year when Bonne Bell shut down (or changed hands, I don’t remember) I drove to every drugstore and Target in a 10-mile radius and snapped up every last one. They were selling on eBay

Yes. And she will fight you for that comment, too.

The Dr. Pepper was always my favorite, too. :)
