“Wait a minute, Seattle doesn’t have a team anymore!”

The San Diego Chargers had a great location and lots of fans, they were just missing a sufficiently well-endowed owner.

They’ll be in Mexico City in five years. Nobody likes them and they're paying rent. Just go be the 2nd most popular team in Mexico.

The only Chargers fans I know of that live in LA are those that went to school/college in SD, fell in love with the Rivers/LT Chargers, then moved back home afterward.

A coworker of mine is from LA and is a fan of all team sports with very few specific loyalties other than to the Dodgers. After the Dodgers, Rams, and Chargers all lost this week I texted him something like "Rough week for LA teams" and he responded with "Yeah I was really disappointed by the Dodgers, and the Rams

All those Steelers fans bought tickets. That is literally all Spanos cares about.

Dan Snyder at his worst would be the ceiling for Trump at his best as an NFL owner. Remember, he killed an entire league in <3 years.

either the jags or chargers would give stl the geographic rival the nfc east or west never provided

Chiefs-Chargers games would certainly be a lot more intense if the teams shared the same state (well, in addition to the state of perpetual disappointment that they already share).

I’d venture to say, any seat availability at a road game with Steeler, Philly, Patriot fans, will be quickly scooped up by them. There might be other strong fanbases that’ll show in force, but I’ve noticed Steeler and Philly fans will for sure.

“pay to build us a new stadium or we’re moving to LA.”

If you contracted the Chargers, their good players could go to other teams with better medical staffs.

st louis would gladly try our luck with another larger city’s second favorite team(or after the raiders, usc, ucla, and the rams, fifth favorite). third time’s the charm! plus the dome hadnt been redone in so long, the blue from 1995 has faded to the right shade

The Clippers?  Why would they be playing against New England?”

I always think its the Clippers

I still forget almost weekly that something call the LA Chargers exist. I see LAC in my pick em league and it never fails to confuse me for a second before I finally realize what team that is.
