I wish I had a photo to prove it, but a few years back i was passed by a Daimler Double Six in traffic.

I leave my doors unlocked because in the event of an accident where I’m no longer conscious they can drag me out faster. Also car jacking isn’t really a thing here.

Sunbeam Lotus. Still a quick hot hatch today.

Rootes Group (Hillman, Humber, Singer, Sunbeam-Talbot). If you want to know what it’s like to be neglected, try being a Rootes fan. Bought by Chrysler who neglected us. Then bought by Peugeot who neglected us.

Talbot Sunbeam. While the Lotus-powered version was much more exciting, the base 1 litre model used the high revving Rootes/Coventry-Climax unit developed for the Hillman Imp.

My phone spends most of its time pinned to one side window or the other.

I don’t personally find the Sunbeam Venezia ugly, but many do.

Hillman Imp - perhaps not a hatch in the modern sense because it was a 3 box design, but it had a hatch nonetheless.
