I'm tempted because of all that I've heard about Saga, but I hate digital comics. I'll probably snag this bundle, read 2 pages, and then go out and buy a physical copy anyways.

Her complaint about how similar it felt to Halo was the best recommendation I've heard for the game so far.

They're not only in place because it took so long, because if they were doing it for game design reasons, then they would either, a) pick the length of time based on what they felt was appropriate, or b) let players decide how long it should take without requiring payment to make that choice.

I'm not a fan of TF2's system, either, but at least that game is free.

If they're adding microtransactions to make it "fair" for people who don't have a lot of time to play, then why did they hide upgrades/items behind a time sink in the first place? What is the point of progression in a game if you can just pay to skip it?

In the movie it was that guy getting blown by a dude in a bear suit.

There's a reason the Counter-Strike series is one of the most popular online FPS in the world. It's amazingly fun, and most guns are 1-headshot kill

That's always been an option, it's called "Disable notifications during video playback" or something similar. I assume (hope) that these new X1 notifications have the same option.

I hate it when MS does it, too. I'm primarily a PC gamer who also owns an Xbone, a 360, and PS3. Gonna snag a PS4 within a year. It's not about who does it, it shouldn't happen at all.

But how, in any way, does that help the consumer? Ubisoft makes money that Sony is giving them, Sony hopefully sells a few PS4s, but the consumer gains nothing. Why is it ok for them to screw over half of their player base because Sony gave them some cash? We're all paying the same amount for the game.

I know why

That is why they make games. But we buy games because they give us value for the money we spend.

Exclusive content gives no one value, except that Sony will hopefully convince some on the fence people to go PS4 instead of Xbone.

I fucking hate console/retailer/preorder exclusive content. It is purely for the money makers, it in no way helps the consumer.

Ugh, I know what you mean. I watch shows and movies with a "sit and appreciate the scenery/dialogue/camera/mannerisms" view, so my roommate that just wanders around and half listens and sorta watches movies annoys the shit out of me so hard.

The wall hanging seemed really cool at first (I also didn't notice it during the beta but did last night in the full game), but you can't ADS when you're doing it, and the guns feel ridiculously innacurate when not ADSing with them. So I don't know if it'll actually get used at all, despite being a cool concept.

Then

I do the same thing with mixing genres. I keep 4-5 games in my "current games to beat list", usually keeping a shooter or 2, a racing game, an RPG, and an action game. I love shooters and wRPGs, but if I play either genre too much I get really burned out on them, so having other stuff there definitely helps. I also

I only beat Mass Effect 3 a couple of months ago after getting it on launch day 2 years ago.

I had blown through the first 2 games and loved them, was loving ME3, but I'm a completionist in those games and the "we don't tell you when quests begin/where to go/ anything else" added with said quests also all being easily

The dumbass part reminds me of my categories on Steam, I've got one for multiplayer games that I still play fairly frequently, the games I wanna work on or have fun in but don't require being "beat" per se, and then the category just called "FUCKING BEAT ALREADY", which I angrily titled in an attempt to fire myself up

Holy shit.

Gonna miss you man, if you're going to Polygon like the rumors say, I'll still be reading you there.

Best of luck, weekends are gonna suck here now =(

Yeah, I did. Didn't seem to help much, and I felt like I was going to break the Kinect for some reason while adjusting it so I haven't wanted to do it again, lol.

I've had that happen to me about 3 times now (had my X1 for about 3 weeks so far), and it's ridiculous that something like that hasn't gotten patched yet. The first time it happened I thought something hardware related had failed before I figured out how to fix it.
