There were a lot of good ones that didn't place...

I remember someone making that picture, it just didn't place.

Even with the shitty graphics and generic looking gameplay, I was thinking about picking it up.

Ah, well, I'm glad you enjoy it. And I agree, it's a free game on a social site. But Facebook is coming out and saying that they want a piece of the "hardcore" market, and if their other attempts are going to look like this, it won't be easy for them.

It was like CoD if CoD had no production values and no thought put into it. I'm not a fan of CoD, but at least that game has fun mechanics and is well built.

I tried out Offensive Combat and it was terrible. Terrible gun mechanics, terrible map design, terrible graphics, etc. The only fun thing was that due to playing against the unwashed masses of Fb, I ended up with like a 4.0 kdr.

Guild Wars isn't F2P, it just doesn't have a subscription fee. You still buy the game.

It wasn't terrible, it just controlled really awkwardly with kb/m, but I'm sure if you plugged in a 360 controller it'd be fine, I don't remember any graphics/online issues.

How has a PC port of Halo 3 NOT been widely reported?

bah, meant to be a reply

Also, to clarify something, when I said, "Yeah, except that in CS you can't insta-spray kill a guy from across the map as soon as you start playing." I didn't mean as soon as the match starts, as you can't do that in either game. I meant when you first start playing, e.g. you just bought it. It's a game modeled around

There's a cap on difficulty where it goes from "hard to get good at" to "so hard that success is random".

Mastery of the game does give you advantage, but if the game has a low skill ceiling, then there is less of a chance for higher skill to shine through. If I went 1v1 against Kobe Bryant, he would kick my ass so hard. If we were playing with the wider, 5 ft tall hoops I mentioned earlier on a half size court, he would

Same here. My mom was responsible about the games that she got me, but that doesn't mean that I didn't use my older sister as a way to get games all the time.

We're talking about games in a competitive context, where mastery of the game should give you an advantage, so I don't see how you saying that CoD's aim is easier is a good point. Playing basketball with kiddie hoops that are really wide and only 5 feet tall is easy, too, but there's a reason that the NBA doesn't do

Remember when skill based FPS games like CS/Quake/UT existed?

Yeah, except that in CS you can't insta-spray kill a guy from across the map as soon as you start playing. Also, the maps are a lot better, not random shit everywhere.

Those are definitely fucked up, but they're gated behind a "this is bad and you need to be 18" page, so I don't really get the problem with it being on the website.

I love MtG, I'm 22 now but my first deck was the 4th Ed Starter Deck, which I actually bought around the time 6th Ed was the main set.

That's called Standard, or Type 2, the main tournament style. It allows the last 2 blocks, and the latest core set, so up to 7 sets of cards, all printed within the last 2 years.
