But the punch was so awesome in this one... I may have missed a bonus but goddamn was it awesome.

I just wish you could romance her. Shep getting some robot love would've been too awesome to handle. =(
I did read it. He said that the Bungie games were polished and balanced but they still required a public beta, and since this one isn't having one its scaring him about those things so he isn't going to pre-order. He didn't say "since pre-ordering won't get me into the beta I won't do it".
Except that there has only been 3 online Halo FPS games, so 2/3 actually sounds like most. 1/ODST/Anniversary weren't online MP and Wars was a totally different franchise.
He wasn't even saying he's mad that he's not in it, he said that it could mean the game comes out unpolished and imbalanced. Stop being a dickhead, bro.
Yeah, there's 5 Bungie guys at 343i. Not exactly "a lot of the Bungie team". Not to mention, the Halo 3 and Reach betas fixed a ton of shit, and that was from Bungie, the people who had been working on Halo for a decade. Now, the new guys are working on a huge new game and they don't think they need it? Wtf 343i.
In Halo 3 and Reach betas they actually fixed quite a few things. You'd think if a company as experienced with Halo as Bungie still felt that they needed public betas, its pretty worrying that the new guys think they're totally fine without one...
You mean besides the map glitches, ridiculous auto aim, horrible weapon balance, terrible netcode, and button cancel glitches?
I got lucky with it being stuck instead of dead though, not everyone gets lucky like me. And it was still pretty bad paying such a large amount of money for a nice monitor and then having a bright dot right near the middle for so many months >.< However, I've just learned to buy monitors elsewhere, as most places do…
It... depends. I've had good customer service with them, and bad. And their monitor return policy is terrible. They don't accept monitor RMAs based on dead pixels, unless you have like 7 or more of them. My monitor had only 1, but it was glaringly obvious, luckily it seemed to just be a stuck pixel, not truly dead,…
Yeah, they should've done something to compensate the customers, even if its only a few bucks of NewEgg credit or something. Instead, they basically say "by the way, don't you even THINK of stealing that game we mailed to you, we're gonna have your credit card ready", and then say that "but we'll totally ship it…
PunkBuster and VAC aren't DRM related at all though, they're anti-cheat. And while PB can get annoying, I totally understand why its there, and am glad to have it. DRM on the other hand, I'm not cool with (unless its completely unobtrusive and doesn't cause issues).
From a music standpoint, I know that piracy has helped them, from me at least. There are quite a few bands/musicians that I never would've given a chance if I had to pay, but after pirating their music I've bought CDs/merch/concert tickets.
Except that games were also a niche product back then, the market for games is massively bigger than it was back then. When you're selling a couple thousand copies, that's a lot different than selling 10 million copies (both are extremes, though obviously). Now video games have a huge market with tons of players, a…
I think that most people realize the whole "1 pirated copy is not equal to 1 lost sale" thing, but indie devs are free enough to come out and say it, and they know they'll be supported for being awesome, its a lot easier to buy a 10-15 buck game on a moral basis than a 60 dollar game. And the suits in big corporations…
Yeah, I've never had anyone else be bad at my local store, in fact I generally like them and am friends with the assistant manager, and they all know me from midnight launches and stuff. And I know he's forced to do it, I just wish he wasn't so pushy about it. Having to refuse 3 times was annoying. Hopefully he'll…
Yeah, most of the guys at my local store are great, I don't know if this guy is normally just pushy, has been low on preorder/addon sales, or what. But when I had already said no twice and then he still put the case on top of my order like he knew for sure I was going to cave, it was pretty annoying.
I dunno, I don't wanna get him in trouble or anything, I know its not his fault that they make him do that, but all the other people at my GS generally try not to get pushy with their preorder stuff. But he's only been there a couple of months, and maybe he's been doing low on preorders/addon sales, who knows. Most of…
Yeah, I noticed that they were doing pre-orders when I picked up my copy of Mass Effect 3 yesterday at GameStop. And by noticed, the guy asked me if I wanted to pre-order, I said no, he showed me the special tin case, I said I'm really not interested, and then he put the case on top of my ME3 copy and said that I…
Different Lee, dude. They even mention him in the article.
