HOT TAKE: Any large German luxury sedan. BMW 5/7 series, Audi A6/7/8, Mercedes E-Class (S-Class are amazing but are just too problematic and costly to repair.)

I’ve been a motorcyclist for Decades. I’m 50, and I’ve been rolling on 2 wheels since I was 15.
I’ve ridden cross country many, many times.
I’ve ridden in and been waved at in nearly every state, plus 3 Provinces.
Agreed. There is nothing wrong with a Wrangler or a Defender with the tilt off - they still have all the utility that they started with. But convertible crossovers are just stupid.
One of my dearest friends has a Solara convertible, and she loves it like it’s her baby. She’s spent oodles keeping it in perfect shape. And it is indeed a blast when four of us are in the car, top down, tooling around the North Pinellas, FL area.
Non-sporting convertibles are nothing new. These cars are just the modern version of this:
There is nothing wrong at all with non-sporting 4 or more seat convertibles. Everything is better on a nice day with wind in your hair.
I’ve had similar thoughts on all these. Its inexplicable why all convertibles past like 2000 (or possibly long before that) could either be fun and cool and seat 2, or be awful and boring and seat 4, or be cool and fun and seat 4, but super expensive. I legit almost bought a solara drop top once, and I kind of wish I…
Oh Tesla is definitely on my hit list to
I would consider the newest Prius but remove all badging.
This is a bad take. Car accident victims don’t get to pick and choose their injuries, and not all injuries will fully heal.
Right, and even if you did, it would perform worse. Pretty much every hybrid super/hyper car is using the hybrid drive train for some small EV only range, and for torque fill at speed. So getting rid of the torque fill just to shave weight would just give you less performance than you already had.
lol, that long ranch part made me lol for 2 good minutes.
Re: motorcycles: yes, most of the “must have more horsepower!” people are idiots who can only ride fast in a straight line (if at all). Even my former Kawasaki EX250R Ninja was capable of 100 mph and that made about 30 hp stock (mine wasn’t stock, it went a bit faster, it also served as a roadrace bike, too). Oh, that…
Instead of just fixing the 318ti...while you’re in there, spend the money to drop in a refreshed 6-cylinder (M52 perhaps) and a lower mileage 5-speed and renew your love for the E36/5.
“Darling?”
Well then, velvet ropes would open, etc, etc.
She heard that.
I have no qualms with the Gone in 60 Seconds remake, but I hate the Mustang that launched a thousand awful clones. If you own one of these, you are not a connoisseur, you’re a self-indulgent wiener.
The G70 represents one of the best value proposition for sports sedans out there
The Genesis G70 is probably the closest any automaker has come to recreating the excellent driving feel of the legendary BMW 3 Series.
