Most excellent. As a rider for approaching 50 years, you’ve identified the thing about motorcycling that has kept me involved: you absolutely have to be completely focused in the task at hand.

After years of tasteless paint jobs like this..
how *exciting* will it be to drive over a comparable vehicle in this segment?
And I know just the spot to play with them
If you look at the economy car segment, in many cases the cost to buy the new car (size for size, power for power, typically equipped) hasn’t gone up for the last 30 years when you adjust for inflation, and they require a lot less maintenance, less frequently as well.
Compare a 2023 base Kia Soul to a midlevel…
Same observation. At the price point, literally DOA. They though they can just put their PR dept into overdrive and blast their name on everything, including the Ironman Championship. But in the end, if the product is lackluster, no amount of PR will help that.
For some people, this is a lifestyle choice. [I realize there are also many people who cannot afford to live near their jobs, and commuting is a necessity for them.] I’m lucky enough to have an education that allows me to get jobs in a variety of cities, and I’ve also decided that I will not have a commute over 1/2…
Thank you!
If that's the case give me a MR-GR sport turbo Morizio TRD launch edition.
Well reasoned post. Thank you.
I'd like to live in a car free city, but The Rent Is Too Damn High
I really hate a thing I love is actually really bad, and reconciling that is tough. Being well off enough most of the costs are externalized, which makes it even harder to take inconvenience over status quo.
I don’t disagree with you at all. I simply like the alternatives less. Biking is GREAT - on those rare perfect days. Where I live, it’s too hot most of the year at one place and too cold much of the year the other. And places where you can easily walk everywhere are too bloody expensive to live in currently for my…
same, it reminds me of the olden days when Clarkson’s Car Years was still relevant
Just because the masses have made a consensus and people repeat it does not make that opinion wrong. The CrossCabriolet sucks. Is it a niche vehicle and does someone like it? Probably so, but as far as I can tell the crosscabriolet has no redeeming qualities.
Instead of a Nexo, get a new or nearly new Mirai that is on the same chassis as the Lexus LS:
Yes 100% The main issue to Carbon Neutrality is that while developing EV infrastructure, how do we cater to those who can’t afford to switch? This is an excellent and crucial step
There are several competing processes for converting electric energy to liquid fuel and they are absolutely going to play a crucial role in the energy economy of the future. Electricity delivered via the grid should ideally serve as much of our needs as possible (which will require investment in infrastructure), but…
Yeah i mean it’s really interesting and if it emits less pollution, is affordable, doesn’t trash your milage and doesn’t require a complete redo of the engine to use it would be awesome. Unfortunatley at the moment that all remains unclear. But still making it from just CO2 and water is crazy.
If that cash would’ve or could’ve been invested and you can get a good interest rate, paying cash is a bad idea. My $27k car that I bought in 2012 with cash (that had been invested and would’ve otherwise stayed invested) has cost me like $55k in opportunity cost. The dealer would’ve given me 2% financing and instead I…
