I find myself wondering how the speedometer needle breaks. The only thing I can think of is it breaks while you’re rolling back the odometer.

Unlike most pickups, I can get a 4x8 sheet of plywood in my van without it hanging out the back.

I had a Yokohama poster featuring the 1987 DTM winning M3. And a Miata poster. And a Pirelli poster with a silver FD RX-7. The M3 was my favorite.

Good info, thanks. I’m good through November.

Oh great, I have a 2012 Odyssey with 97.5k miles (not kidding).

The tires Goodyear sold me weren’t that round to begin with. I figure if I park the right way I might be able to balance them out a bit.

Was going to say the same thing. I took it out once to look at and then never again.

After a lifetime of Japanese cars I waded into the VW world very carefully. In four years my GTI has been perfectly wonderful, but I remain anxious. I’ve decided the car is so delightful I’m willing to put up with some nonsense. The open question is how much nonsense I’ll be subjected to.

Leaky hitch?

I just discovered such tires existed last year and got a set of Vredesteins for the old Civic that’s our third car. It never really snowed enough around here to form an opinion about how they do in the snow, but they’re prefected lovely for the sort of boring driving that car does the rest of the year.

Oh my.

Everyone is all over these Gulf and Martini and Rossi liveries on new cars, but why isn’t anyone putting Ueno Clinic liveries on new McLarens?

Somewhere in the NTSB archives there are a ton of public comments from people complaining about how high up the taillights are on the 2nd gen CRV. Back in the day someone on the CRV forums linked to it. No one is ever happy.

I found an HHR on street view with a similar issue.

My parents had an RX2 and it only looked similar in that generic 70s Japanese car kind of way.

I understood that reference.

Is there a chance the track could bend?

Makes me wonder why the VAG people can’t seem to source quality wheel bearings, though. That seems to be the one thing I hear consistently from VW/Audi owners. I’m still on my originals at 40k. We’ll see what happens.

Correct.
