I mentioned elsewhere, and although I respect irrational love for cars, I always felt like these were loved for what they could have been if they had not been intentionally gimped by GM, not for what they actually were.  Sadly, that’s the modern Pontiac story until GM killed them for good because China loves its

Because the roads were clogged and first responders told everyone to abandon their cars and walk.

From Google:

Exactly, anyone abandoning their car for any conceivable reason, like ANY reason, out of gas, broke down, flat tire, shit fire, is not going to be thinking about leaving their keys. I mean never leaving your keys in your car is kind of drilled into you from the time you learn to drive both to not lock yourself out and

Are you fucking kidding me with this “Boomer” bullshit?

Do you think that someone fleeing a fire is going to think that through? Hey let me leave my keys so they can move my hunk of metal later.

Having been caught in fires in 2018 in Malibu you have no idea how ferocious the fire moves through an area. If there’s a traffic jam and it’s not moving at all, you see other people panic and make a run for it. As soon as the car in front does that that screws everyone behind them. It has a knock on effect.

easy to say, you are not sitting in a mile of unmoving traffic with cars already on the shoulder with a fire getting closer in your rearview mirror every minute.

Another brilliant idea that I’m sure that will never get washed out by sunlight.

The features only light up when they’re available, like, as long as you’ve kept up with your subscriptions for those options. Disposable junk for debtors.

The RW likes to give CA shit for its environmental policies.

Calfire needs a Phantom Wedge

What a piece of absolute shit.

Things can be replaced, people can not.

Another throw away car when it fails after warrenty

Which was just as horrible because there was less real estate in the cockpit. I mean let’s be honest here, corvette buyers aren’t exactly super model aesthetics. There should be no reason why the driver seat is this tight:

One thing that is very noticeably absent from this interior is buttons.”

Ironic, because BMW is still trying to make Grandma’s iPad, which is stuck there on the dash like an aftermarket ‘fix’, an actual design element.

As a resident of the Boomer/GenX cusp who recently bought his first car with a touch screen, all I can say to manufacturers is they oughta get folks with bifocals to test their cars. The touch screen in my Mazda sits precisely in the zone where I can’t see it clearly with either lens of my bifocals.

Wait till your kid puts their drink on the dash and splatters apple juice across that display.

From the stretched out gauge cluster in the wrong place, to the steering wheel with too many spokes, it looks like those AI-generated images that isn’t right.
