100% nitrogen absolutely does not leak more slowly than the 80% nitrogen normal air. If the 20% oxygen were to leak and leave the nitrogen behind, then it would be replaced with 80% nitrogen normal air, bringing it to 96% nitrogen.

There is a gap between gearing a motor up to drag a literal ton of aircraft (upto 200 tons) at 15-30 mph and spinning it to 150 mph.  Mainly the built-in tug is on the nose gear where the motor is small and doesn’t weigh much and isn’t near the enormous heat from braking the 200 tons from 150-30 mph in 10 seconds.
