“New smells”? Head for the sewers, I mean subway - hell, they are the same thing, to get yourself ready. Waft. Waft is a great word for what may be coming.

That’s what engineers do.

Saw a sad story yesterday - woman comes back to her mobile home - 90% or so stripped of all the drywall from thieves who stole the copper wire, the copper plumbing, all the appliances. It looked like a demolition crew doing a teardown had been there. They also got the outside unit on the A/C from under the home.

“unwittingly” isn’t quite the correct word. I’d go with willful ignorance or implausible deniability.

They ran out of “n” in the sign kit.

Just ignore the scratches on the inside of the lid.

There’s now aquamation - basically a non-combustion breaking down to leave just the skelton and peptide molecules. Much less expensive than cremation - the “ashes” of cremation are just powdered bone. Look for Ask A Mortician on YouTube. Contributes far less to global warming. You still get the use of the display jar.

There is probably some plastic wrap over the burned areas to seal them. Notice the sleeve on his left arm is rolled nearly to the elbow - that was how far the bandage reached when I saw him in the oxygen module. The right hand was bandaged to the wrist.

Just a reminder - Mach number is a flow condition, not a speed. It is the ratio of the speed of the aircraft (or whatever) to the local speed of sound. How big a deal this is depends on the altitude it can do this at, which mainly sets the density and therefore resistance to going that fast.

The solar sidewalk tried that.

It’s basically the same thing as written in the linked article - I presume it went from suspended in 2005 to revoked in 2015; suspension would mean no valid license.

The last one who was supposed to be as good a person as Dolly Parton got nailed to a piece of wood for the effort.

Just saw him on national news - he was in an enhanced oxygen chamber talking with a medical aid (possibly nurse?) through the plastic, both hands bandaged, his left bandaged to the elbow; they did not show his face. However it was a lively conversation, both hands gesturing out the words and he seemed in good spirits

My kitchen is a big problem. The smart appliances started with easy banter (Ha, ha, the toaster is “crumby”) but it soon devolved to trash talking (which the compactor found particularly offensive) and now all of them are on strike for me not clearing up the hostile work place. Of course the refrigerator is cold, but

The permanent solution is a “Road Closed” sign.

Where was Post 10?

Apparently updated - no mention of hydrants in the article at all now. On-truck pumps are used to extend the range of the water from the nozzles.

220VAC is common in the US - it is subdivided for use in residences to 110 (or so) but the lines coming to the house are 220VAC.

95% chance it’s a medical related incident. There would be little reason to slam into a pole and hold down the accelerator pedal if they were going after the recruits. Stroke, arrhythmia, or a blood sugar problem top my list.

It’s not a piece of tape - the plate frame has a section cut loose and turned, held in place with the screw.
