If you have the chance, watch A Hologram for the King. Or maybe not. It does have Tom Hanks, but does not feature Wilson.

That you hear people complain about going to slowly means that there are people who don’t want to go faster. That you don’t hear from the ones not in favor of higher speeds means they don’t want to talk to you. I can understand why.
Those who complain are the ones who live to pass, not the campers. If they saw a car pass them going 120 they would go 130 just to get by. They don’t drive a chosen speed. They drive to pass, apparently so they have someone to complain about.
Obviously those camping in the left lane aren’t happy with the increased demand for ever-increasing speed. That those who want most in life to pass others find anyone they can pass indicates that there is not a universal happiness.

phante.
If everyone was happy about it no one would complain about left-lane campers.
Even at gunpoint no one is ever “forced” to do anything.
You’ll need to link to that 50,000 nm claim. Nevertheless, it would have been relatively peanuts to update the plant with cast-off equipment. They just wanted to get bonuses and not do the work.
30 years of defense work. One was a contract to refurb a vehicle to “like new” condition per the original contract requirements. Someone missed asking if the “like new” vehicles actually met the original contract requirements. Spoiler: They did not. Fortunately it wasn’t extremely bad, but the customer lied to us.
Seat belts and airbags and better structural design and better emergency responses to crashes have cut fatality rates. Increased distances traveled on limited access highways have artificially reduced apparent crash rates.
They don’t need to be first. The can sit at couple of generations back where the processes are well proven and the costs of the equipment is about 20% of the latest ones. But they chose to not participate at all. And you just know that the deciders all got fat bonuses for firing a large number of people and putting…

Per the other articles - the police were chasing this SUV. They knew where it was because the vehicle had a tracking app installed. Seems like that information might have been better used to send an unmarked car to shadow them instead of lights and sirens.
Per APNews and looking at Google Maps, from the corner of the North Jiddah Bulk Plan, which AP says was the target, to the Jeddah Corniche F1 Street Circuit, which I presume is the track, it is about 7.25 miles straight line. This meets what the APNews says - 11.5 kilometers which is 7.1 miles.
Do or do not. There is no try.

Subs are the most realistic. Florida sits on underground waterfilled caves. It’s just a matter of finding the correct path.
Ever hear about the Ship of Theseus? Except in this case one part will remain - the VIN tag and a tiny portion of the dash carefully transferred by a skilled welder to a new dashboard. In a one million dollar car.
Be spectacular - put in one of those giant car vending machine systems like they do for Carvana. Car gets secured, the footprint is small, it’s a clearly visible landmark.
