The problem is that before it gets before a judge it costs you for a lawyer when the dealer claims to have been disparaged. That lawyer will tell you his price is $5000-15,000 to fight it or to just pay the dealership the $3000 if they decide to shake you down. If you go to court and win, they apologize with “Oopsies.”

I think they were saying “Our internal auditing let this go on for a long time - we have insufficient internal controls to catch it the same day - Hey IRS, come audit us because we can’t track money.”
