Can some one please recommend some very nice headphones, which can be used out in public without huge cords and sounds leaks? I am also looking for something with great bass. Any ideas? I currently own the bose AE2's, skullcandy skullcrushers, bose MIE2i, skullcandy hesh's. I know these headphones aren't the "best"…

I don't agree. If it was like you said, updates should easily be rolling out for older devices. Oh, but wait, they take MONTHS to release an update, IF at all. Why do you think that is? Despite popular demand of the product and demand for an update, they MAY or MAY NOT update it to lets say ice cream sandwich or jelly…

You missed one thing though. Each manufacturer codes Android and does exactly what you just said, to fit the exact resolution/capacity/speed of ram of that particular product. Android in general is just inefficient regardless of how much you tweak it to that particular device.
