Having not driven either, I think the Cayman GT4 would take it ... It’s also 30-40k more expensive, if you could even find one.

An E46 M3 that has been swapped to MT from SMG will still be worth less than a car that came with MT from the factory. Many buyers would also be hesitant to buy a car that was swapped unless it was done by a reputable shop.
