I saw an interview with him where he said that he sold the movie rights to this story... so it sounds like may get that movie your hoping for! I can not wait to see it my self. I just hope that they get the humor/ cannonball side of things captured right.

Seatbelts are designed to keep you in the car in the event of a crash. Even when they proceeded to split the car in half, the seatbelts still worked... maybe too well. Just sounds like another case of superior German automotive design by Porsche. Man they build good stuff!!!
