Please tell me this isn’t common on SoCal roads. I’m looking at moving to the Oceanside/Vista/Carlsbad area. Sheesh. Might as well stay in NC where I know what brands of batshit driving to look out for.

Not this old codger. Right now own two BMWs (2000 M5/2016 M3). And until I got these no random person ever came up to me and commented on how good my car looked.

You have no idea how large the bullet you dodged on this. Many years ago , in a fit of madness we bought a ‘74 XJ12. It was a one owner car (although you’d need a Ouija board to talk to her) and appeared to run just fine.

Thank you. I am just now able to discuss this publicly (my brother was killed in 2011). The absolute worst part of this was that my father had to go to the mortuary and identify my brother’s body early that morning. He was never the same after that.

This is pretty much how my brother died. Hit & run in the wee hours of the morning (3:30 AM). The guy that hit my brother drove off and hid his car; he was arrested after neighbors spotted him parking his car in a relative’s parking lot and driving off in his son’s car.

Curt Schilling? Cash donations? Nah...maybe it’s just me but there’s a ton of trust issues here.

One of many variations:

Don’t forget post-stroke Wilson. But there’s a twist here...Wilson’s wife basically ran the country for a year and a half. So could Wilson tap out to his wife? And if it was Trump vs. Mrs. Wilson who’d win?

Where was this? I’d imagine it as somewhere you’d take your Raptor...

During my post-wedding offsite reception (friends only with a metric ton of alcohol, other items and fireworks held at a lakeside cabin) one of my wife’s friends got frisky with one of my old college roommates. The house was a crowded nonstop party so they adjourned to the woods.

Earlier this year, I spent a full two weeks cruising around the American southwest in the Ford Raptor with the same 10-speed transmission, and my takeaway then was the same as my thoughts now: the transmission is “fine.” The shifts aren’t amazingly crisp, but the EPA fuel economy say the transmission is saving

Yes, double thanks for the article. We’re considering a short vacation in Colorado so I can check out substituting weed for a small galaxy of medications that I take. I’ve seen some B&B’s advertising this kind of vacation and once my wife retires it looks like a long weekend in Boulder may do the trick.

Normally I ignore pedantic comments but gosh darn it, you’re right.

Yes, we used to live in a townhome (fancy term for “cheap condo”) where the bedrooms on each home’s 2nd floor overlooked the parking lot. Our next door neighbors’ n’er do well son moved back home and promptly bought a motorcycle (I am guessing 600cc). The first weekend he had it was spent hacksawing anything

Also, the car films weren’t interesting.

Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History. This podcast on the Cuban Missile Crisis clocks in at close to six hours and it’s absolutely riveting. One of my hobbies is the history of nuclear weapons and I’ve listened to this one twice.

I would like an experiment where we do not tell the interceptors when, where and how much we would be firing; a real test of test what China and Russia might throw at us. Otherwise, this is an expensive jobs program for a few contractors.

Dang, I missed the original post and my chance to shit on VW in public again.

So reporting on corruption by government officials is promoting a “secular humanist, non-patriarchal society?”

400 amp service is something you look at when you have a large-ish house (200 amp service). Add the service required for fast-charging two plug-in electric cars and possibly welding et voila. You need 400 amp service.
