Climbing ropes are meant to take a certain number of falls from a certain height. For example, a rope may be rated with a 180lb weight for 4-5 falls from 10-12 feet. After that it should be replaced. This guy hitting a 50-100ft fall even with a bungee I wouldn't trust that rope for more than one fall.
