Kinda hard to use the resources in the asteroids for batteries for cars if you don’t bring them planetside.

ehh, you’d lose too much of the mass to vaporization on the way in and/or impact forces. Much better to park it in deep orbit and drop it chunk by chunk. Then take the shell remaining and use it to build a space station.
Do fuel cells use an equivalent amount of rare earth metals? I know the use rare metals, but I would think it’s in lower volumes than batteries.
I wouldn’t be super-shocked if both events were the result of sleep paralysis. I mean still super creepy, but I could easily see both events caused by that.
You can still option a 340i and 440i xdrive with a manual. but that’s it.
Outside of the 7 the LWB cars only exist in China because they have an obsession with long cars. And in the US we only get the LWB 7.
So not quite a simple repair, but it was made infinitly more complex by the PO of my e36.
I don’t think it’s a gearing issue. 6th gear in a Challenger hellcat is good for 208.28mph at redline, which is pretty ideal gearing for 200 considering the hp peak is at 6000 rpm and redline is 6400 rpm, 6150 rpm should be where it hits 200, and its hp doesn’t drop off that much from it’s peak at 6k.
Is that the Challenger or Charger? As I understand it the charger can do 200+.
Your speeds for the helicopters are a tad optimistic, it’s more like 160 max for police helos and 200 for military. CH-47's are, shockingly, one of the fastest helicopters in the US inventory and they cap out at 196 mph. There are a handful of pusher helicopters that can get in the 250 mph range, but none of them…
Speaking specifically to the widebody here: Is it just me or does 190 mph seem kinda slow for a 707 hp car? I mean I know aero is king at 200mph, and the hellcat doesn’t appear to have a great Cd, but unless it’s gearing/ECU limited, that just seems a bit slow for that much power. e60 M5's cap out at 207 with 200…
I don’t even want to imagine the costs of the R&R that will be required to get this car on the road and running. Everything rubber needs to go, it’ll probably need a new gas tank. It’s going to have to spend an extended amount of time at Mclaren being brought back to working conditions. I wonder if that will damage…
My friends door is about to fall off his XJ due to the rust monster. He took it to a mechanic to get a quote on the door and asked them to look at the underside just to see if it was feasible to fix the rust on the bottom. Mechanic poked it with a screwdriver, a huge chunk just fell off and he said “good luck with…
I’m not sure about that, most XJ’s I see look like they are one stiff breeze away from collapsing into a pile of rust.
simple, a cargo bay mounted trebuchet.
I like to think that his speech writers pen some of the best, most amazing speeches that would, in a hearbeat, pull the country together and heal the rifts that the recent political climate has caused. But he can’t keep himself from going off script non-stop so we never hear them and he just keeps driving that wedge…
On I-95 North in MD, at 2am running on fumes in my 1984 BMW 318i with limited gas stations open, the car started sputtering to about 1 mile from the exit that I knew had a 24-hr gas station within 1/2 mile. I coasted the car as far as it would go, which was just to the start of the exit ramp. I shut the car off,…
I think the better caliber to clip the Caliber’s calipers with would be .45 caliber causing said Caliber to careen closer to the cliff on the coast of the Carribean ‘cause that’s where a car of the Caliber’s caliber clearly belongs.
My wife’s buick does that. Locks when it starts rolling, unlocks when it’s parked. I really hate that(well not so much the lock on rolling, that’s OK, but I still prefer to control my door lock/unlock machinations). I much prefer what BMW does where the door stays locked until you pull the interior handle. First…
