You’re probably right, but it’s a $2/oil change difference between Mobil 1 and Castrol, so I’ll stick with the one that’s still certified.

My car likes to tell me I can do 17k intervals, and based on what blackstone says, it’s probably true. But I can foot the bill for 3 oil changes/year and it’s not like it’s difficult work. and something like 99% of my driving is highway, to the point that my global average speed with the engine running(so that…
I’ve been using a 10k interval and they actually recommended I move to a 12k interval. I’m sticking with 10k though because it makes knowing when the oil change is due much easier since I synced it to my odometer a few years back so I’m just due at big round numbers(230k, 240k, etc.).
Simple solution, install the Quick Kill system on F1 cars. Inbound debris? no problem, launch the countermeasures rocket and intercept the inbound debris.
What terrible A/C does your car have? Mine blasts cold air while stationary and moving. If the condenser has no fan on it, maybe I could see that, but that would be just super shitty car design.
Carbon fiber takes an enormous amount of energy to shatter. All the energy that is taken up by the carbon fiber shattering is energy that cannot be transmitted into the driver’s head. It’s the same with crumple zones in a car, or helmets on bikes. I know it seems a bit contradictory, but if it shatters on heavy…
I dunno, but the back window of my e46 can stay nearly perfectly dry during surprisingly heavy rain as long as I’m not standing still. Most of the time all I really get is a bit of water running across the edges from the roof. And for the most part it doesn’t take much speed to keep the back window dry.
What do you think the down markers are made of on the field? Chalk?Paint? Thats what poors use to mark their field. The Cowboys only use the finest pure Colombian Cocaine to mark their field.
So how long before we get an X63 AMG? or better yet an X65 AMG?
How is someone that is writing for Jalopnik confusing brake and break.
4k miles is the range of the Trident I. Not sure where the 6k range for the MM3 is coming from.
Trident II range is claimed at over 7,456 miles Minuteman II is claimed at over 8100 miles. Both actual max ranges are classified. I don’t think an admitted 550 mile range between the two is going to make or break it, and at least some of that range would be bought back by dropping the Tridents nosecone aerospike in…
Would a workable middle ground be using the trident for both legs? A quick glance at their specs indicates the Trident II is close to, if not equal to the Minuteman III in range. I would assume that if the Trident II can be launched from a submerged sub it could handle being surface launched, it would require little…
I dunno, there’s a nice little back road near me that doesn’t really come alive until you hit 218 mph. I may have to take my imaginary millions elsewhere.
Professional race car drivers are probably in better shape than most people in sports. F1 cars can generate nearly 8 lateral g’s in corners, at that point your head weighs nearly 90 pounds and all that force is running perpendicular to what your neck muscles are normally supporting. Not to mention your arms and…
Is your windshield a stationary horizontal platform that has oil, tire dust, dirt and other assorted debris ground into it by thousands of cars every hour of every day? There is a huge difference between the amount of dirt a roadway sees vs the amount of dirt your windshield sees
yeah, I’ve noticed CT drivers are usually not much better than Mass drivers, but they at least sometimes keep out of the left lane.
I should note they aren’t technically going slow, they are usually achieving the speed limit of 65, however on the NJTP the speed of traffic is usually 75 minimum, frequently 80 and sometimes 85. Additionally there are signs every few miles or so stating the left lane is for passing only(which you will not be doing…
this smells of BS to me. Every car I have ever seen on the NJTP with a Massachusetts license plate has been going 10 under the speed of traffic in the left lane and refuses to move to the right for anything short of an emergency vehicle with its lights on. Seriously, I’ve seen them drive for miles with a marked NJ…
Transparent Aluminum is actually a real non-Star Trek thing.
