Also...it’s not just the original Integra from the 80s that came as a 4 door - the popular one in the 90s did as well (maybe not in the US? but I think it did here too)...hell, they even made 4 door type Rs for the Japanese market at least.

Came here to say this. We had a pandemic camper for a bit less than a year (had to sell due to cross-country move) and it was awesome. It was a simple little thing we pulled behind our Outback...it really didn’t have much that *could* go wrong in the first place. Make sure it doesn’t leak (I did a major spring

Well, they were trying to get somewhere without burning a single drop of gas after all. Not very American, if you ask me. Some might even say suspect. This kid was really doing his patriotic duty preventing this country from sliding in to communism.

Now playing

?! Kids these days! Consider it assigned homework.

But why no Tobias gif?

Yup. THAT should be the headline here. It’s easy for people to dismiss Lucid as being too expensive - the Dream certainly is that. But they are showing that they can beat Tesla both at the top and bottom end of the product range they’ve decided they want to play in (for now). Here’s to them (and their design language)

Pedo, dogecoin, or robots? Someone start tallying bets!

Uhh have you seen E39 M5 prices lately? It’s CL pricing, so you can probably drive it home for a hair under $20K if you showed up ready to buy. Honestly looks pretty fair given the market for these things right now.

Same thinking here. I don’t get all the hate in the comments - price is very fair for what the car is, and if PPI gave it a clean bill of health I’d be all over it if I were in the market right now.

That’s a pretty extreme position to take. Plenty of people buy out of warranty BMWs...I had an E30 for over a decade and now have had an E46 for almost 5 years. Yes as they get more complicated they’re more difficult to DIY, and there will always be a premium on how much work it’s going to need to keep it running over

Exactly. A PPI is an absolute must on any car like this. If it came out to be clear I’d jump on it. In fact I just move from Portland and just dumped all our money in to a new house purchase...if life had been different and I was still there I’d be very tempted to try swapping out my E46 ZHP for this M5. Very decent

I think it comes down to whatever deals are available at the time you’re in the market - you know, standard Chevy business model. Compared to Tesla where you pay what you pay.

It’s not over-styled (by todays standards) - which makes me like it 100x compared to a CH-R.

There are places where traffic seems chaotic and the rules are different (like for example in India), but the drivers in those places are actually great and capable of dealing with that chaos.

This. I had a fully loaded ‘20 Bolt that was $25k out the door after all the discounts GM threw at it plus local incentives. And range is 259 miles. Outside of the current battery fire fiasco I think it was always a really good car that got unfairly compared to the Tesla Model 3 and hence labelled as a poor

Makes no sense. A couple of people in my apt complex have Arteons - they are great looking cars. Didn’t realize you could get them so cheap, that’s a LOT of car for the money...and that Toas for $40k is, well, the opposite of that. People are idiots but I guess we already knew that.

Yeah drivers finally had a few months to go “dammit I’m not working!...but wait, I’m the same level of poor I was when I was working, this doesn’t make sense!”...until maybe it finally did start making sense to some of them.

Sure, agreed on all points. That stupid claim that people keep making just needs to go away is all, not helping when even people who apparently see through their BS keep repeating it.

Geez people still making this sad excuse. You think Uber/Lyft have enough college kids driving between classes and lonely grandmas driving around to meet the market demand in major cities? That has always been BS marketing. Just look at all the ways these apps themselves keep trying to make drivers work longer hours.

Exactly - you see this playing out across the economy, with companies complaining that there are worker shortages and people are being lazy thanks to government welfare. Pay people enough for them to live on, and to view it as a viable long term employment opportunity and you’ll have all the workers you need.
