I’ve been on a huge R129 kick lately - think that would be a great option too although I can’t fault this car you’ve suggested. For $40k you can easily buy one of the nicest specimens out there, and know you’ll make all that money back when you sell it. Over-engineered, understated, and supremely stylish.

I’ve leased 2 cars to date, both EVs. Firstly, all the incentives get rolled in to your lease payment so you don’t have to bother waiting for tax credits or any of that stuff. Yup - if the electric range works for your commute, you can start saving $$ on gas at a pretty rapid pace. Like you said, $12k for a car this new, decent looking, decent handling for what it is, spacious, AND with some amount of decent range is a pretty great deal.

Curious to see what people do with this. I “have” a spreadsheet, but very rarely does it get updated - especially for minor stuff. And then the various parts I do buy are either lost auto parts store receipts, or from various online sources - so I just hope when the time comes I can search my email and find them…
