Yeah, this writer is trying to make a “that’s karma!” argument and failing miserably.

The logic in this story is non-existent. The basis for the non-payment rests on a legal determination about which debts remain under bankruptcy and which don’t. This means that Weinstein’s company could’ve been led by a saint, gone bankrupt, and people still would have lost out on those payments.
LOL... if that’s the excuse this guy is giving, then it only indicates that the whole retail car sales structure is broken.
This is wrong.
God.
Serious answer:
I’m late responding, but: This, all this. Pépin is one of the most skilled yet lowest BS factor chefs on TV. He’s got crazy skills - his breaking down of a chicken in like a minute & some seconds is crazy, and his knife skills videos are my gospel - but he just doesn’t have the pretension we US folks think French…
“ It’s got everything from radar-guided cruise control to absorbent crash structures built into the body, and a five-star crash rating from Euro NCAP. None of that stopped this guy from driving off a ledge. Rethink your idea of a “safe” car.”
Ooops, repost. Deleted.
“Somebody set up us the bomb.”

Marchionne: “You only produce one car less than the demand for the vehicle. You just don’t exceed that equation.”
Wow. It’s crazy to think that there was somebody on the planet who was able to outspend members of the Saudi royal family. But I remember hearing the same thing myself.
There’s a reason for that.
Eh. Slap on the wrist stuff at worst. The guy shouldn’t have done it because it wasn’t his monitor to begin with, and he repurposed something being used for public info. But he complied. The airport simple asked him to stop and didn’t go any further (like getting police involved), so they did the right thing too. This…
I guess that’s possible. But no, all I was saying was that the Hulmans/Tony George would consider that the next best thing to keep interest going in the Speedway, so they would’ve chased it hard. And probably have gotten it, since any other series would have been looked at as a step down, plus many drivers at least…
I think Elizabeth is soft-peddling a lot of this. If the reunification hadn’t happened, most likely the Indianapolis 500 would be a NASCAR race today. Or worse yet, it would’ve simply folded. There’s no chance it would’ve simply been a one-off race, or at least a one-off at a high level of racing; the economics simply…
Folks are missing the point. This would’ve been a horrific bottoming out of a proud tradition. A race like that would’ve been amateur hour, and would’ve turned the 500 into a laughingstock. A bunch of old honks trying to capture instant glory without working their way through the series, or a bunch of feeder series…
Well, technically debit cards are covered under a different law than credit cards. The laws are slanted in favor of credit over debit, and banks can take advantage of that. As a practical matter, though, both are quite well protected. Still, though, it’s really important to know that there are slight differences in…
“But the bank won’t always give you your money back.”
