Amen. Believe me, there are plenty of editors who don’t love how much time their “personalities” spend “brand-building” on Twitter instead of just being writers covering their beats. Twitter doesn’t drive enough traffic to publications’ websites to justify the amount of time media folks spend on it.

So the guy who green lit and edited this piece, Glenn Stout, is the same guy who picks Best American Sportswriting every year? Great.
