Like every other college football program? WSU is just as guilty with that joke of a coach Leach. besides...isn’t that the school you go to if you aren’t good enough to get into UW?

Pete Rose is old. He is no longer relevant. No one cares. This sad attempt to get back into the spotlight is just that...sad. He is the Pele and Maradona of MLB (who continually bicker about who the “greatest footballer in the history of football” is/was). It is no longer “in his day”. Move along. So yes...Pete Rose…
Mk4 R32...no question.
good to hear! always nice to run into people who have solid VWs that have treated them well. my 05 seems in the same boat as you. timing belt and clutch as the more expensive maintenance.
I’ve heard the same. I got lucky with my 1.8t. I’m pretty meticulous in caring for the car. I hate the expression “baby it”, but I definitely “baby” that car. Now if I could only find an unmodified R32 with low miles!
I’ve owned a handful of VWs (most older than the MKIV), and my two favorite: 82 Diesel Jetta and 05 GTI 1.8t. I must say that I love the MKIV. It hasn’t failed me (drove it from Seattle to Virginia and back with 80k on the odometer)...it’s easy to work on...and you can get parts for relatively cheap if need be.
Illegal in DC, too!
Hey now. Not all MKIV’s are bad! 130k miles on mine and only major “issues” were maintenance (clutch and timing belt service) related.
“If you ain’t cheatin’...you ain’t tryin’.”
agreed. any and all industries are constantly figuring out ways to cheat “industry” standards/regulations to make a profit.
that’s my fault for reading your post too quick. thought that was vw bus you mentioned. who the hell would spend 1k on legos is my question!
ack. i stand corrected. getting my AWD cars confused. silly me. the r32 definitely appeals to the vw crowd. i actually prefer the 1.8t, but it is nothing to write home about (mk4 golfs in general). what sold me was the body styling...the last good looking GTI/R before they ruined the body. i much prefer the mk2 rallye.
uhh. more like $120 a box.
Shouldn’t you crawl back to the VW Vortex? This is exactly the reason why I avoid the so-called “VW scene”. And as a sidenote..... Mk2 VW Rallye > Mk4 R32.
Think you are mistaking the 1.8T with the R32. Though I do agree, any Mk4 Volkswagen isn’t going to be a future classic.
